First Car.

I payed $17000 for my 2005 fxt premium limited with 40k miles.. However, the thing is brand new! It sat in a Florida garage for years and was only taken on minimally. Everything is mint on it. Luckily the guy moved close to Massachusetts and traded it in a local Subaru dealer (where I bought it). But definitely try to get a forester xt! However, they aren't cheap!

exactly, some grandpa probably owned it and used it 2 miles at a time. To pay $8k for a car thats most likely beat to shit and has the possibility of serious internal issues with the mods and whatnot is silly

So true. That's why I'd recommend buying from a dealer, or hire a qualified mechanic to take a detailed look at the car.
