Thanks to everyone who watched and voted for the best segment in NS Movie Volume 1: First!!!
The Grand Prize Winner who will walk away with a pair of Moment Skis is Nicolas Asselin from ESK. His segment included the likes of: Paul Bergeron, Alex Bellemare, Yan Bussieres and JD Zicat. The Segment was filmed by Philipe Dionne and Eric Simard, and was edited by Nicolas.
Nicolas and the other 4 runners up will also receive gear from Jibij Pro Shop, a pair of Switch Gloves, a bunch of hand knit hats from Tingas Hats, and keychains, bandanas, shirts and sticker packs courtesy of Newschoolers.com.

NS Volume 1 Pre Order
If you are interested in purchasing a copy of NS Volume 1: First!!!, please PM me with simply the word "YES" in your message, this way I can track what kind of numbers we're looking at for authoring. The price will hover between 10-20$. I know it sounds expensive, but authoring a very small number of DVDs is expensive, also, shipping is accounted into the cost.
Remember, this is a collectors item, so get a piece of NS history while you can, you won't regret it!

the money isn't going to me if thats what you're trying to say, you will be buying it in the NS store, what you purchase is going to cover shipping and authoring, and we may add an extra buck or two to start the budget for Volume 2
 
Because they released it for free online what the hell would be the point of buying it? and OMG -karma NOOOOOOOO
 
whatevs, there are people here who do want to own a piece of Ns history, if you don't agree with that, that is your opinion, end of discussion
 
some people may still want to buy it so they can watch it on their tv? instead of their computers?

oh and dave sorry a) for this being a double post and b) getting your thread all messy. when you get this stickied by all means clean some of this up if you like.
 
for good songs, like somewhat mainstream, depending on the size of your project, it will range from 200-1000$ for rights
 
Why are all you guys being douchebags? eheath? Cunt. If your question is why buy it? Why bu an movie? Because you want to own it and help out everyones favorite website. You can pretty much find most vids on youtube or other places on the internet now. So NS volume 1 would have gotton out if they didn't release it. So if ou have negative input leave it to yourdelves.
 
i would like to say despite some technical difficulties and frustration with a new process, that i would like to thank you for the opportunity to be involved with this project.
 
well one reason would be to own the first video of (hopefully) many produced by the NS community..but more importantly.. on what grounds is paying 10-20 bucks for a movie to support the NS cause a bad idea.. but paying $50 bucks for a 20 pixel gold coin next to your name isnt?its all about supporting NS initiatives i guess?
