I hit my head on the jump on my first backflip...i was a little scared and i tried to rotate so fast my head hit the back of the jump. It was a powder day and the jump wasnt packed too hard but it still hurt.

Unity....... word up!!!

what do ya think is harder? a switch backflip or just a regular one cause doin a switch back just looks easier it looks like a straight front flip?

knees suck!!!!!!!!!!!

Ain't notin but a g thang(G-Man)

on my first backflip i landed on my head and i was fine even though it hurt. my frend however got more roatation and broke a rib so learn it on a tramp before u try it

I might try one tomorrow if its powder...my friends been doin em and landing on his face, but he's landed on his head and said it didnt hurt that much...I can do em on tramps, like get the rotation but I do so much of a gainer that I dont land on the tramp or like land on the springs

I'm gonna kick your ass...From here to right over there!

yea my first attempt i over rotated just a lil and i wasnt even ready for myself to land yet... so go ahead and try it but really commit for it

yah first time, i built a shitty Jump, pussied out in the air, and landed directly on my head in 2 ft of heavy snow... then second time I overrotated.

not at all i got my rotation around stomped it and then fell cause i didnt even realized it happend but it was soft pow.....you could of hurled me of billion foot clip and i wouldnt have gotten hurt..

seriously, just try it. But if you get scared, dont even hit the jump. If you land anywhere on your back or butt you wont feel it because it will have gone so fast. They feel so wierd when you are upside down the first few times.

No, same with each subsiquent backflip, including the one where I over-rotated on a 40ft table. The other day I caught my tips (bad jump but I felt the need to flip), well I came around, caught my tips and before you know it I was sliding headfirst, NO PAIN AT ALL, skis still on! Im lucky I didnt hurt myself and it was 50 out so maybe thats why. Anyway its luck and skill mixed together I guess. I heard of one kid who broke his ribs/wrists (someone from this board or something) and others are fine. I think its a relatively safe trick if you are confident and have good air sense. If youre asking this question it makes me think that maybe you are either not qualified to try it or you are to psyched out, either of which will possibly get you into trouble (who knows, you are prolly kick ass but I dont know). Good luck, I think you will know when its right, then throw it, dont do it if youre not ready, theres always next season (sorry to sound like some bitch). For me one day I was just like, Im gonna throw a backflip, I was confident enough, did it on diving boards and I felt ready, it was just natural.
