Got a Macbook over the summer so this is my first attempt at Final Cut Pro 7. Just made an opening day edit at Park City with a couple friends. Light color correction because I really need to learn more about it before I get deeper into changing colors around.Take a look at it and critique!

Thanks!

+ k of course

that was really cool! really liked it! skiing was good, fun to watch, the angles and transitions where pretty sweet for the most part, the shots were pretty smooth and i love that song, idk if its been used before i always thought it was but o well

id say work on the color correcting a little more, and the audio on some shots from the wind was anoying

that was dope. a few things to keep in mind, make sure when you do your follow cams that your just the perfect distance so the rider is in the whole shot. a few of those you were a little tight on and then there were a few where you were to far away. some shots were a little underexposed in my opinion. but that shit looked so fun. jealous that your on snow and im not. haha but overall it was sick for your first time using FCP.

Was nice, but maybe pay attention to where the sun is next time. Some shots you were directly filming into the sun resulting in having a black rider and a blown out white sky/rest.

Other than that 'twas good, nice work!

Sick first edit! Just something I noticed, the interview in the beginning was only playing over one speaker. (the right speaker) To fix that, take the audio from your lav mic and when you put it in Final Cut make sure you duplicate it, put one track right over the other in the timeline, double click on it and look in the viewer and change the "pan" completely to the other side. Now you'll have perfect stereo sound!
