i did my first 180 today i just have to work on stomping my landing a bit better and making sure i ride out parralle any tips?

here's my life plan

just try to get a nice big pop in there first. then concentrate on turning around. the bigger the pop, the better it looks.

 
yah i just started really popping and doing jumps for, four days yah i do need to work on my pops im thinking of changing my name to 180bigbooteriwish lol its long but wtf

i did 180s on the ground but just like jumpin and twistin around, then when i did it on the table or jump it made it really easy, just keep your cool and know how to ski switch well

i know its sweet. ns rocks. yea 180's, just get pop and try to get a safety in there...ive always found switch 1's really hard tho

180s are lots of fun once you get comfortable with them. Plus, you can do lot's with them and really slow them down and steeze them out. Keep practicing them, you're bound to improve!

i always found switch ones harder cause for some reason i can never get the rotation around...i go about 90 adn thats it...any tips? actually just in general comin onto rails switch...i never get up to it...i try to pop on and go off the side of the kick :S:S

Congrats! Go you! I just did my first 180 recently too. We built a 4/5 foot kicker in my cousins backyard up at sunday river and kept using it at night since we were skiing during the day. It took me TWO days to do it, don't know if it's because my new skis are heavier then my old skis, but oh well. I still did it.

 
the problem i find a lot of people have with switch 180's is that they start their rotation before their tips clear the lip.

to get regular 180's to work better, just committ to them!

I never had an problems with 180's. First I did them off little tiny kickers then went straight to tables.

I just started doing 180's and my sudgestion is when you get good at 180's and going off jumps switch then do a switch 180's they are so fun and even the boarders like them!

Just practice skiing switch a lot more so you get comfortable skiing parallel backwards at higher speeds. That way you don't wedge them when you land. But just keep doin' it man, everything becomes easier with practice.

P.S. Now try 360s. Just as easy as 180s, I garauntee you.

We'll have you dead pretty soon.
 
Yea, the landing on 180's is nice and slow, so that you absorb impact and make it look like nothing, aka stomping. Its awesome to throw a floated 180 and land it cleanly. Sweet looking too. Way to go.

im still using rentals and they arnt even twin tipped and i still land and perfect when i spot my landing im thinking of trying off the bigger jumps now maybe by next winter ill be doing smooth 180 saftys of big booters and i just started doing terrain park 4 days ago.

Strode,I've only started doing switch jumps for two times on the hill now,and a big zero (well,not too big :>) is easier to me than a switch 180. And I can't even do a switch 180 properly,only a sw UNATTY 180 :o

Seems to me that you just gotta pop real good on the lip or you start to land on your side.. happened to me a couple of times..
