Finished creating my portfolio site, critiques welcome.

Nice clean looking site that you made.

Although I think you could improve it so that when you click on the pen/brush/camera/video/computer/potato it should open up underneath so that you don't have to change pages. That way it's easier to move around on the site. Kind of like making it a header I guess.

I think it looks super clean and amazing. If you swapped out your videos for clothing, I think it would look like a high end fashion label. Such a nice design!
 
Consistent design throughout your résumé and site which is sweet. I like how on your drop-down menu it splits the line you have separating the menu from the content.

For the icons on the homepage, I would suggest you decrease the fade time for the black-to-tan/brown color so it gives the user a better feel of those being clickable icons. The delay is almost so much that I found myself not bothering on clicking. It is nice that you offer those instead of only having menu options. Overall, it's a clean and minimal website. I like it.
 
I really liked your website. Super simple and professional looking. I love your media projects. The only real issue with yours is on the home page with your icons directing the type of media you have produced. The unobvious ones that were the problem were the exacto knife thingy icon and the paint roller icon. I thought the paint roller thing was a shaver for your face. Then I clicked on it and understood what it is. All the media projects were super sick and professional level. i love mashed potatoes. But i don't think its a great idea to put those in your website for possible clients to view. People that may want to hire you might get confused about all the inside jokes in skiing. Also it's not supposed to be pro grade quality because it's a fun project.

These are just my thoughts and critiques.

You have a some awesome content and create hilarious videos

You are absolutely right. I am going to make the whole icon box change to the tan color much faster and have the word "design" appear over the design box and do the same for the other boxes.

I think the pen tool icon and the brayer icon might be more obvious to people who use illustrator or who are printmakers. You are right though, all the icons should be obvious in their meaning. Once I add the word hover effect, it will be more clear.

For mashed potatoes, I'm going to create a more in-depth description that explains that MP is created for a very small group of people and is filled with inside jokes. I decided to put it on my page because I am working with people in the ski industry who know of MP and would be glad to know that I have a sense of humor and design skills.
 
Pretty small correction. Under the video tab there's a typo, product is spelled "prodoct" next to the J Skis cats in space video.
