Finding my lost cat!!! need help!

So i my cat went missing Saturday night, of 5/10/08 and its still missing

I had a few friends over which i wasn't suppose too, (parents out of town) and they brought some stuff..

so anyways some stupid bitch probably kept the front door open, even though i told everyone to always shut the doors.

Describing the cat, house cat, its big, not fat but extremely puffy and white. easy to spot. and also very dumb, if cats can have a disorder, like humans (retard) then I would categorize my cat as one. So it would not be able to find food, or water (my guess) and it doesn't know its way around my neighborhood. When it does get out usually it sticks near the house, around our yard, which it is familiar with this is not the case this time which really worries me. Plus, at my get together the girls were messing with it and scaring the shit out of it (which i told them to stop). So i think it went somewhere in my neighbor hood that its not familiar with and cant find its way back.

Problems. and why I need to find this cat.

-I dont actually like this cat when its around, im allergic to it and its stupid so not any fun

-BUT my mom loves this cat, it cheers her up even when she is pissed at me for no reason. It really makes her nicer and happier person. The only reason my mom left town and left the house to me is because her mother is dying and she lives in Japan, so she is already extremely sad, sadder then I have ever seen her. And on top of that I dont need her 2nd most loved thing, the cat to be missing or dead. This is all ironic because she told me not to have a party.

So basically Karma bit me strait in the ass, and i am sad. I am not going to school, or sleep. I must find him.

So i need some ideas if you guys have any, my cat doesnt really know its name so its not gonna work that well.

+karma for good advice, and I really need your help NS. The clock is ticking, its already been 24 hours and its getting to the 2nd night, its cold and raining partly to add to it. !!!!!

 
i have their normal cat food and water out side my houses in two spots they are most likely to come back too. and I dont think I can call the humane or animal shelter, i think its too late right now
 
ahhhhh Im scared though. Its his second night out, its really cold (lower 40s) and wet/rainy. its retarded so im not sure if it can find food or water

does anyone know if shaking the food they eat helps?
 
litter your neighborhood with catnip, your sure to find him on the trail somewhere. umm, put up posters, ask your neighbors if they have seen him, search all the trees.
 
no matter how retarded you think your cat is, i think he can still climb a tree. and being as hes a fatty he may have got stuck. i think your best bet is to walk door to door.
 
its not fat, i said it puffy from its hair. and I will check the trees

I live in a suburb ish neighborhood, some trees and little green belts but its pretty tight together. Near seattle.

Does anyone know if they are more likely to come out at night?

 
yeah, if youre old enough to drive, go to wal mart, pick up like 5 pounds of catnip. just dump it on your porch and hes bound to come back. just sit by the door all night waiting because im sure too much of that shit and he could OD

i just went outside. it was scary, i noticed the movement and sound of small ass things, I am tripping and im on nothing, just some rockstar, which is keeping me awake.
 
thanks dude. im sooo tired right now, but i read on the internet they might come out more often at night time, plus i wanna see if he comes to eat the food..

Alright, don't worry the exact same thing happened to my cat. Since it is cold and raining your cat will probably found a spot and hunkered down somewhere, this is why you can not your cat. The way that we got our cat back was by spreading the front yard and backyard with catnip. Then at both doors we put a box with a blanket and the catnip on the blanket. So, if you cat does show up he'll have some food to eat and will be much more likelier to stay because of the box and blanket.

ah i hope u find it! idk what to tell u other than have people keep an eye out for it and walk around calling its name it may find its way home too so check near your doors and windows
 
thanks, i already spread catnip

and overnight something, did eat some of the food i left out both at my back door and front door. I was awake till 4 30 am but fell asleep. im skipping school today, for the cat;s and my mom sake.

its sunny now so it might come out, im just worried because its soo visible, raccoon, coyote or dog could have gotten to it.!!

 
I got two cats and i just blow a dog whistle,yeah the things that make no noise when u blow them(lol) and they seem to notice it ad come running home expecting tuna.
 
whatever food you usually give it, I suggest you take that outside and shake it. If you feed it canned for or ever have I would suggest taking your electric can opener outside and running it through a couple of cans for the sound it gives off, cats always come running to that shit even if your making soup.
 
happened to my big retarded cat once,

We had the cat treats that he liked. So i went outside and walked the neighborhood twice shaking the bag and he came out of hiding it was in the middle of the winter too. You'd be amazed. Even as dumb as your cat is you'd be amazed how resourceful they can actually be, and how much they can do. Mine was out for 2 days. Your cat could be good still. If not tell the truth? Or you could always tell the truth and buy your mom a different cat!
 
my cat has been out for one week a couple of times, he always comes back. He is an outdoor cat though, but check if any of your neighbors have gone on vacation my cat once got stuck in a gararge. good luck

Thanks guys! yeah ive been shaking the container and yelling his name for hours, been working making flyers, looking around etc. also listening for bells (he has a collar)

its also a indoor cat, although it gets out side sometimes, but stays around the yard always

Yes Rowen, i live in issaquah.

I just dont know where to start looking or which way it went, this is the first time it left the yard and neighbor yard area, there is just too many places to look and such.
 
i called my mom and dad in japan yesterday but theyu were not as worried but they just called and i told them i still havent found him and my mom was like weeping over the phone and stuff.

i havent cried in a whole but i am right now. i feel so guilty..
 
We used to let my cats out in the yard with a leash tied to a tree but they would always escape and run off and usually come back within a few hours. Longest was overnight I think. But yeah, its usually my mom who finds the cats and shes the one that calls them back in, they like here best anyway. But I dunno about leaving food out or anything at all, most of the time when my cat comes back they wait at the front door because they know food will be inside. So if you leave it outside they might not want to come in. But yeah, thats sort of a twisted logic. Well good luck man, hopefully you find him. My mom is always a wreck when one of our cats dies so its never any fun.

i think walking around shaking a treat bag and calling its name could work, or go door to door and ask your neighbors if they have seen anything, but best of luck
