Finding a Match for a Zipper?

Does anyone know how to go about finding the other side of a zipper that I already have? One side of the zippers on my hoodie is busted, and I really want to find a zipper that I can attach to that side that will fit into the still-working side.

Get the fuck outta here! Really?? I thought my mom was good at that kind of stuff, but she had no idea. I'm gonna fire her.

just buy a new zipper in the same lengh. im looking at the hoodie i have on now and it doesnt look too hard to sew a new one in

my abuela has a factory grade singer/ you want it, she can make it/ that shit stitches right through leather with no problem

I would just replace both sides, but I also wanted to find an answer so that I could do the same thing with my jacket, and it's impossible to remove one side on the jacket

What? No, I was serious. I'm jealous that your mom knows how to do that and I have no idea.

Drycleaners is a good idea, although I was hoping to buy a zipper somewhere for a dollar or two.

Well I could replace both sides for my hoodie, but I also want to make an entirely new zipper for my jacket while also keeping the old zipper.

So no one knows if there is any way to measure the teeth of a zipper and order a matching set? There must be some industry standard way of measuring zippers so companies can be like "we need one hundred orders of size 8 zippers in 14-inch lengths," namean?
