I'm looking for the best car under 17k. I was thinking I might be able to find an STi, or maybe a BMW ci. What do you think? Oh yeah, it has to be able to hold skis, so no roadsters.
and since you ski PNS we dont get much snow down there. so id personally go for a msutang. you could find a 30k miles 03 cobra for that price. they will run low 12s stock. im assuming you are looking for a faster vechile.
also a ford lightning, not 4x4, but still ok in the snow. possibily a chevy ss.
basically right now anything can work for you. especially with your budget.
are you wanting to pay in full. meaning no loans? car truck suv? gas mileage matter much? 4x4 or awd necessary. are you gonn mod it? if so how far?
a friend of mine has a cavi with 3 turbo chargers linked up in it. fast as hell. $2,000. it'd be hard to find an sti for under 18,000. I'd just buy a caddy for like...$6,000 and put a system in it, buy 24's, and new paint job.
Unless youre a fan of european cars. They have great engineering but theyre expensive as fuck to find parts for.
id go with a Audi S4 or the A6 number one, if you are looking at those particually. I dont like the clk320. salvage=bad. If i was looking at bmw, mb, and audis i wouldnt consider a lesser brand personally. granted vw is audi but there is a big diff still.
what kind of retard would ever buy a car off of ebay?? especially a 17000$ car?? and most of the cars on their have salvaged titles.....hence the reason for putting them on e-bay, they won't be sold in real life
u ever seen an s4 for 17k or under?? there must be something seriously wrong with it if you have........there is no way youll be able to get one in good shape for that price. also, i think itd be better to by a new legacy or vw instead of buying a bmw or mercedes with 70-100k on it. there is a reason why cars are sold used, and new is the way to go. most used cars have somethging wrong with them and thats why there being sold. you will only have problems with a heavily used car whereas a new one will be warrantied for the next 5-10 years. also......you cant get a loan in most places for salvaged titles, so i wouldnt bother with those either
my friend who is an audi mechanic at a dealer has a 2000 s4. it has upgraded k04s fmic, chip, intake, fuel system, exhaust, ect. 50,000 miles and is selling for 17,500. thats what 2000s go for.
yeah, maybe your right. i thought u meant somewhat of a new audi. atleast the past 2 body types, not one that is 8 years old. i would never blow 17k on an 8 year old car. especially an audi they are known for electrical problems.
I don't think you guys realize how expensive it is to take care of some of those cars....If you get an audi or a BMW and something goes wrong with it, you're fucked. The repairs are sooooo expensive its rediculous.
which is pointless if you are 16...owning an audi s4 and trying to get 4-5 years out of it? its pointless, the money you would put into it is a huge waste at that age
its pointless at any point in your life. if you can afford an s4, then buy one, if you cant, dont try to find an 8 year old used one, its probably not gonna work out too well
you cant make the generalization that he is 16. for all you know he is graduationg college and is gettin a more professional ride.
I will always buy a used vechile. no point to buy new, drive it off the lot, and bam your 50k rs4 is now worth 40k. Wait like 2 yrs and watch the price drop dramatically.
And my buddies 2000 s4 is soooo much nicer than my friends 04 escalade, or my buddies 06 pontiac.
you know what i mean jerk off.......if it was really a nice car that would sell easily, itd be sitting in atleast a used car lot or at an audi dealership...
people that i know with cars such as audis, bmws, and mb, dont beat on them.
and the comparison is because somone said that a new car is soo omuch nicer than a 8yr old car. im saying that yes generally speaking that is true, but when it comes to a luxury brand a used one is nicer than some new cars.
If you're 16-24 definantly don't get an STi or any turbo'd cars because you're looking at tons of money in insurance and it adds up. You can get a 4 door like a grandprix or a granddam which arent necassarily beaters but they arent bad speedwise and are cheap, insurance will be cheap, parts wont be hard to find. When you're 25+ with a good looking record you can get a nice quick ride and it wont be half as bad.
you'd be retarded to get one of the super expensive cars that kids are suggesting in this thread. get a new or one year old used car for 17k. it won't break and if it does, it will be under warranty. sure, it'll be cool to have an m3, but you'll be pissed when you have to spend mthree thousand dollars to change the brake pads.
cobras are sickkkkk. but if you want one in good condition your gonna have to pay more then 17k, a friend of mine has an 03' cobra and it puts down 580whp on pump gas and 640 on race fuel
