Finals Ski Slopestyle Thread

Sick, you were the first one to hate.

Goepper's run was dope; if I'm not mistaken he was the only one throwing four doubles. Definitely one of the more difficult runs, even if he didn't have Henrik's or Bellemare's flare. I agree with eheath, he deserved gold. Good for him.

And to everyone who's bitching about him getting a higher score for the same run...its because he did it cleaner than his others. Why should he push himself like the other contestants? He came out firing, started on top, and all he had to do was hold it down; he wasn't chasing anyone.

Such a sick comp compared to last year when the light / conditions were sketch (shadowy areas making the jump speed all screwy).

Goepper - he went monsterously big but I totally disagree with all the hype about his rail section "two pretzels" - yeah great, but that down box he did the sw 2 pretz 2 on was basically ride on - I'm a very average skiier - but I recon I could have done that trick.

Harlaut - unreal rails section and dope in the jumps.

Woodsy - so stylish on the rails, canon box blunt 6 was ill, and grabs were so tech - shame about the landing on the last switch dub, but Woodsy full on killed it.

Andreas - so tech and clean - I love watching him ski and that front swap pretzel k-fed on the top rail was tight.

Bellemare - sooo clean and stylish - massively underscored

My top 3 would have been

1. Harlaut

2. Woodsy

3. Bellemare

However, it all comes down to personal opinion, and one thing that the commentators got right was that it was incredibly tight. Whilst i have my opinion, I wouldn't have wanted to be judging that.

What an amazing X games!

Seriously, holy shit. Back to back dub corks in pipe, JPV boosting the shit out of a rodeo 5 and blowing minds, Henrik's nose butter triple, and such a sick slope finals.

Yeah commentary was meh, but the skiing was the best we've seen this season in an event. Woodsy fucking slayed that mute to truck, and Henrik's rail section was so gnarly. Butter 450 on 450 out on a down rail? Crazy shit. Bellemare was also super rowdy, proud to be canadian today. Goepper had the tricks, and not really the style with a few easier grabs let go a bit too soon, but 4 different dubs and a deece rails section and clean clean clean landings made him deserve the win.

IMO Woodsy was a bit better than Harlaut. Not by much though. And there was no hand drag Uncle E. Please follow black steve's instructions, some anthrax for announcers might be a good idea. Maybe we might need a "change up" in the booth.

My Podium:

1. Goepper

2. Woodsy

3. Henrik

4. Bellemare

5. Schlopy

6. Hatveit

7. Bobby

8. Joss (sorry Joss you still were steezy)

i think you missed what im getting at. i have no issue with goeppers run. eheaths narrowminded comment, thats another story.

Well i dont know where you got the idea that I was bragging that i was the first one to say i dislike Nicks style, so you should read what i wrote again.

You wouldint of said any of that if Eheath never posted

mad respect for woods now and hharlaut has passion. i thought schlopy was baller. BBrown never a fan of.

what happened to Todd wallnuts? i was expecting to see him in the finals

jeez they sure are making kaya wait. I don't think shes going to pull it off. Hope Ash is ok didn't look bad until she stopped in the netting!!

Big vibes to the injured girls. And it must also suck to be in kaya s position. Having to wait close to an hour to drop in the last run of the comp.

I was teasing you, dude, you sounded like a hate hipster. I can read just fine.

And make all the assumptions you want about my posts, but know that a) your assumptions suck, and b) you're full of shit. I posted because it's what I thought.

The way they said leg instead of knee though made me think it might not be her knee.... but yea she has had a lot of problems with her knees. Bummer she got knocked out of 3rd but impressive of Kaya to lay down a run after waiting so long and falling on her first 2

Anyone else think bobby wasn't scored high enough? It's pretty impressive that everyone threw down so hard (all 8 runs could have medaled in the past few years of slope), but I was most impressed with Bobby, Bellemare, and Woodsy.

Meh, that was pretty boring, doubles to win and robo-skier takes it. I wish they would make a harder rail-section next year. Also, it was funny hearing the Danish commentators counting the amount of corks on the money booter, I think they were expecting a triple.

They didn't show her run on TV, but I hear Jamie Crane-Mauzy threw a dub backie! I wanted to see her runs!Prayers for Rose and Ashley Battersby.

what did ashley do ?

and jamie threw a double back that she slightly overotated , but she stomped it next run.

I am sorry, and I may just be saying this because I'm a big Wallisch fan, but he deserved to make it to the finals. I watched all the replays of the eliminations and Wallisch should've made it. Kenworthy I wish made it but I understand why he didn't.
