Finally a 360!

I finally did it, it took me about 20 cumulative hours total but I did it. A snow came out of nowhere and hit me in Virginia! I had feelings of not doing a 3, and I built a simple kicker without a landing in my backyard. I am so glad you guys said to commit and look over my shoulder. Not thinking too hard about it is the trick to it. I think twisting arms right to left stopped my rotation, and popping off the lip is essential. I just started hitting the park this Jan. and I am only beginning my journey. However, I cross my right ski over my left ski to Iron Cross, and I spin left. Is this a problem since I've seen everyone cross left over right? I also have my first pair of own skis, however they are some 1999 9X Dualtec Rossignol Race Skis which are yellow and black. Are they too heavy to get better in, and do I need new bindings and boots for freeskiing? Any recomendations? Hitting the 360 made me want to be a member so this is my first post.

P.S. After the snowday, it was 55 outside.

 
landing your first 360 is awesome. Just keep trying. Your skis should be fine. You'll want some twins for next year probably.

i landed my first 3 this year i landed back seat on my fisrt try but i stuck it on my 2nd try now i need to learn 540s but congratulations and i was really have when i landed mine to

yea thats waht i meant...landing the first trick of everyting is soooo sick..now just keep on goign wiht that flow and pretty soon youll be getting 7's no prob...only prob is that you would need snow for that huh ?

i just learned how to do rails, boxes, switch tricks, and 3s this year. but actually thats kinda sad, cuz ive been skiing since i was like 5...

yaaaaaa for you ! im tryin my best to do 3's too but all the snow melted just as i was gittin the rotation down :'( ill get some twintips next season and ill get 3s too ......... oh god i suck

Awesome news man. But about the new equipment, don't worry about it, learn with the barebones, then move up to the nice stuff. If you need to, heat the back of your skis to make a back tip for fakie take-offs.

Congrats, i was stoked when i landed my first 3, two seasons ago. . just keep progressing, and soon, the 7's, 9's, and some inverts will come your way too. . . and remember, it's never too early to get some serious ass-rapage and start learning rails!

Yeah, i'm the same way. I've been on rental boots and skis since as long as i can remember, and i just recently started actually DOING something in the park. I went over jumps since i was 6, but for some reason i never got around to doing anything in teh air. But all that's changing, i can't wait 'till next season!

i did my first 360 on snowlerblades, then i took it to my old rossignol spirits later that season season. i stomped it my second time because i knew the rotation, all i had to do was huck a whole lot harder than on the 2d dildo sticks.

360's are sweet i'm trying to learn a 5 right now so I have two weeks or so... I spent so longg trying for a then I realized I need to find A bigger Jump and spin. I landed it second try so hey
