Final Cut Timeline Audio Display Help

I'm new to FCP but I've used other editors in the past (Sony Vegas and Adobe Premiere). They would display the audio in the timeline with the a graphical representation of the audio. Showing the peaks and valleys of the sound. In FCP I can only see that representation in the editor window. This is making matching beats to video changes a bit more difficult. Is there a way to show the graphical display on the timeline? If not what is the proper method.

Thanks fellas.

1. go to sequence settings under sequence

2. go to the time line options tab

3. check show audio waveforms and keyframe overlays under track display

there ya go
