Final Cut Pro Help

umm you dont think i already tried that?? stop post whoring i was asking someone who has it and knows how to do

I am not sure exactly what you are having trouble with but first you import a song by going file>import>file and then finding the music file. That will put the music file in your browser. then you drag that song onto the audio tracks. it shouldnt be too difficult

i got that but like in the audio tracks... the videos sound is in a1 and the song is in a2. and when i playback what i have there is no music just beeping

Render the whole timeline. The Music will play.

The blue spots above the time line tells you what isn't already rendered. If it isn't rendered it won't play back in the preview correctly.

dude if your not sure how to put down a track in a edit, you really should consider starting w/ an easier editing program. for rendering - Option R - . i think you may want to start in Imovie.

i'm not trying to be rude or anything man, i'm just saying if you didnt know how to render/drop music in, the rest of everything else will end you at a brick wall.

yea i agree with starting with imovie man. Get really good at using imovie before you try to get into fcp. Everything is more confusing than you think it should be if you doin't know what your doing. (not trying to be rude/mean sorry if it sounds it)

Always convert your music to AIFF or WAV before importing in the timeline. Don't import mp3s, also make sure the audio frequency of your sequence matches the one of your sequence or else you need to render that track. Yo might want to start curtting with Imovie and move to FCP later....

why do you convert the music before importing it? i have never used final cut only adobe but i will be getting an imac here in a couple weeks......just never hear of doing that

he's correct.. importing mp3's is a hassle.. just use quicktime to convert the audio to m4a, aiff, wav, or mp4 i believe.
