I have been using iMovie for about 2 years now and I think it is time to upgrade. I find final cut pro not very user friendly. I haven't found time yet to read throug the 1600 page instruction manual yet either.

What are other people's feedback on the program. The more you play with it will it become easier? Or basically read the whole instuction manual or don't bother?

I haven't even been able to figure out how to import the footage yet and I consider myself very tech savvy.

thank you for your input.

just go to amazon.com and search final cut pro and buy one of the books that pop up. if you are going to get the program you might as well invest in a book to learn what the hell you're doing

time... before you even try to make a video screw around with it... mess with titles and stuff.. ad a title in a time line and see if you can make it jump up and down using the 'motion' tab inside the clip. hit (apple 8 ) to pop open the capture window. upload some footage and play with it. final cut will also captur footage on its own if your tape has full time code and you go threw it and set in and out points then click batch capture and the computer will control the camera captureing only the footage you want while u are relaxing in the hot tub drinking a martinni. 1 hr later u come back to the computer all your footage is there wating for you and u havent gotten bored out of your skull watching it capture. pretty sweet hu? if u have any other questions just drop them here and ill try to answer there is SO much you can do with the program its nutty. u will grom to love it way more then imovie.. peace..
