Final Cut Express?

What are your opinions on this? I am just starting filming but would like to get serious eventually. Would it be good to learn basics on this and then move up to fcpro? I dont have a lot of money, so if this is a good prequel(?) that would be awesome. thanks.

get abobe premier or ulead directors cut, you can find them cheap or probably download them off kazaa, those work the best

just step it up to pro.. it takes a little more time to learn but its definately worth it.
