yeahhh all those filmers out there, i wanna know your setup. im just curious

and if anyone has a century optics .3x compact ultra fisheye they want to sell me hit me up..but i highly doubt anyone has one

I think you should screw the digi set up and shoot your vid entirely in Super8. The grainy look and real film just looks amazing. Plus you can get a good 8mm film camera for cheap.

River ripper knows whatss hes takling about... super 8 is the shit.. everyone is trying to get there digital all crisp and shit, when grainy and super contrast can kick digitals ass any day.

 
super 8 WHAT WHAT!!! supa 8 is the shiznit. i shot like 15 rolls last winter and most of them have come out sick. i got some sick footage from superpark and other shit. ill post it up here sometime.

yeah but im getting a super 8 cam soon, but the thing is i cant find any labs around here. the closest i can find is boston, which is three hours away

A- I think A&I and cali does 8mm, I send slides there all the time its pretty fair price and they are one of the largest pro labs in the country. I mean they develope playboys shots so you know its quality haha. If not you can mail it in where Mammothpunk said. I still think that some of the shots from Clay Pigeons are the best ski movie shots in history cause its arty and beyond just some guy pointing a wide angle lens at a jump from right next to it. I would love to make an entire 8mm movie except there isnt much stuff worth shooting around here.

8 and 16mm cams are good, but there you got the problems 1 firts with money and second with editing! we use16&8mm and mini DV. mini dv is the best for editing this stuff! lets have a look on www.plexment.de
