FILMING

yo i have a way to put my dv cam video on the computer through an m-peg feature ont he camera but it looses alot of quality any of you guys ou tthier know how to put the dv cam quality video on the computer without loosing any quality casue when i watch it ont he tv its hella clear but when it puts it ont he computer to a m-peg its not clear at all.... Pleez help

 
Is your computer big enough to handle it? Have you tried to compress the video? You usually need a big computer to do the digital editing and playing.

i use firewire but you need alot of memory (512+) or it will be really slow...plus if it didn't come with your comp i think it's kinda expensive

You need to get a real video editing program. If you're using anything but an apple computer to load video, it's gonna blow. My advice is to get an apple with firewire video transfer, a good editing program (Ithink you can get Final Cut Pro for pretty cheap if you show you're a student), and then rock the slopes with good footy and post it for all to gaze in awe at.

 
you really don't need a mac. pc's work just as well. you just need a firewire port. like that guy said, you can get cards for it. i don't think it's too pricy. then it's digital, so there is NO loss of quality. but for sure use a good program like final cut pro or premiere
