Filmers and Photographers what Cameras are you Shooting on?

Pretty self explanatory, what setups do you like to shoot skiing on?

For urban stuff Im really into early 2000's tape cameras, I was shooting on a vx2000 but it's showing signs of camera death so I've transitioned to using a JVC GR-SXM720, I love that grimy tape look for anything on the streets, makes anything look a little gnarlier.

For park and backcountry I've been using an older nikon dslr but am thinking about shelling out for a gh4 or 5 when I get the money, used to use them when I was working for a film company and they're tiny and get a really solid picture.

So what are you all shooting on NS?

I'll leave this thread here since NS has been slower but check out M&A

Actually still somewhat active. Some good threads with tips, good gear for sale and ISOs. Actually some threads on the gh4 and 5.

Personally I have a Nikon D5300 but haven't been using it that much the last year or 2.

Def check out that forum though.

Sony fs700r for video and the ol Canon 7d mk i for pictures. they're both fuckin tanks. Haven't shot any skiing on the fs700 yet cuz I just got it earlier this summer, can't wait to tho.

I’m shooting on a GH4 w/ metabones and Sigma 18-35. I also use a glidecam XR-2000 and Rode Video Mic with a windscreen.

GH4 with a tokina 11-16. Hoping to get a canon or nikon 70-300 2.8 + speedbooster before the season starts though! I film pretty much all in the backcountry tho.

Sony FS100 with Rokinon Cine Primes on a 15mm rod setup with a mattebox, follow focus, 4x4" ND filters, SmallHD Focus monitor all being supported by an Easyrig Minimax. I've been using this setup for my director of photography work and client work for a while now and I'm super stoked to try it out this winter. I don't really care that I'm gonna look like a complete fucking idiot

Update, Just added a misfit atom to that kit

Just photos for me, unless you count my GoPros.

I've been using:

Canon T4i

Canon 70-200 2.8

Tamron 10-22 3.5-4.5

Tamron 17-50 2.8

Canon 50 1.8

But just tonight I picked up a Canon 7D Mark ii. Couldn't be more excited. Finally moving from "Soccer Mom" status, to "Blogger Mom who took an online photography class" Status.
