FILM TOUR

I don't want to get into too many specifics on this site, but I am looking for partners to help me to put on a film premier in Toronto.

Probably Bloor Cinema for one of the leading ski film producers.

Basically, I need a crew to sell tickets and they would keep a portion of the proceeds.

Easy way to make some money for a club or association.

e mail : cmcgc@hotmail.com if anyone wants more details

sounds alright man i might be into that...it should be like in january becasue i could advertise at my local hill becasue i sort of work there and know all the local skiers...

It has to be in October. If I wait any longer, it will be on the internet, or on sale on dvd.

Let me know if you want in or email me.

We have media support, plus helly hansen retail. What I need is a crew to sell to their local markets and friends.

3 dollars of every ten to whoever is selling.

Don't worry about being a downer...I've been at this for a while. Toronto is one of the hardest markets in Canada to be honest.

Thanks

PBP T3 one may go on, I know what jodi means...but I may come out and attempt it on small bar scale

Theory3 Media in association with Poorboyz Productions presents the wonderful sport of skiing and laughter, in SAFETY MEETING. Summer 2005.

^thats a huge point, ... alot of kids now would bbe in for that...

"Why would you sneak out in grade 4? To trade pokemon?"

"WTF is she doing, fucking idiot"

hey ya ill help ya where abouts in T. are u lookin on selling or are you looking to sell in the hole GTA area cuz i got people who would be intersted in doing going

Thats a definate point. My guess is about 80% of the skiers in ontario aren't old enough to get into a bar. A lot of people who would be interested in watching would be cut out. Doing that would probably guarantee a flop.

toronto is lame. c-plus worked out in collingwood. and it was just a local thing.. if you did it somewhere in collingwood.. (village) you get all those tourist ticket sales ontop of all those sales you get from selling to skiers wanting a premier. and you can have it in a bar.. you just need to get a wrist band system. you rock a tag on your wrist, it means you cant drink.. i thought i should toss that option in the air. Yup.

.i like to play.. and stuff.

Filling a premiere with tourists kind of defeats the purpose though, doesn't it Max? The premiere is to hype the movie up and encourage sales. If almost everytone there is just some Joe schmoe tourist guy, the party might be fun, but the point of the premiere will be missed because none ofd them will ever buy the movie.

..but i guess in the short run, they'd make money off of ticket sales. I see a premiere as more of a loss leader though - you give people a ski movie at your expense, and hopefully it encourages them to buy it while they are there, or later down the road.

well i saw it as. tourists kill it for ticket sales, and all the skiers that would show up to the premier anyways will buy the movie.. win win situation and a wicked packed bar for the after party.

.i like to play.. and stuff.

Thanks alot for all the input.

It wouldn't be in a bar and will be all ages.

Once I have dates and venues confirmed it will be posted on the website, and I'll put it on here.

Probably ten buck which will include some prizes, freebies, that sort of thing.

There will be shows all over the province including toronto, collingwood, barrie, ottawa, thunder bay, london....

Thanks for some great input and ideas.
