FILM TOUR IN OTTAWA

I don't want to get into too many specifics on this site, but I am looking for partners to help me to put on a film premier in Ottawa for one of the leading ski film producers.

Basically, I need a crew to sell tickets and they would keep a portion of the proceeds.

Easy way to make some money for a club or association.

e mail : cmcgc@hotmail.com if anyone wants more details

depends on what film... we are already doing many of the premieres... but hit us up with more info

yeah the best premiere is going to be the cu one... last year was sketch last minute and poorly planned... this year's gonna be super sick

AHAHAHAHAH AHAHAHAH, MSP. where the fuck have u been buddy, don't u know that everyone hate msp.... aahahahah. Good luck. p.s. ALL OTTAWA SKIERS HATE MSP.

sickz one three represent.

"it ain't ez being steezy"

The ottawa show will be ten bucks a head, which will include some free stuff, and prizing from sponsors.

Remember we're doing this as a fundraiser for the local market, unlike other companies who come to town take your money and bugger off back to the states.

Read my original message.

Thanks

nahhh kid, there's no companied coming here to take our money. we plan our own premieres here, and as much as i hate to burst your bubble, we got ottawa on lockdown.

the ottawa ski crews are all really tight and everyone knows each other, so unless you actually know people that live here, good luck.

also, 10$?! for one movie...? we had 3 for $10 last year.

far too fly to stay stationary...

Okay, let me reiterate this one.

The tour we run is used as a fundraiser for local groups, teams, associations, or a bunch of freinds who want to buy new gear this year.

You sell tickets and keep %40.

For example, Simon Fraser University trusted us last year and made around 2 grand clear profit.

Golden Search and Rescue made over a grand.

Georgain College made over six hundred.

You can very well have the city on 'lock down' but I wanted to let you know, that nobody's trying to mess anyone about here.

Oh and also, I don't work for msp...just in case it matters.

TAKE THE MONEY AND RUN TO THE STATES! I take quite alot of offense to that good sir. Oh boy, tsk tsk tsk.

Sorry Jeffy!!

Don't want to make enemies of our friends to the south, but based on my experience with Warren Miller Entertainment, I know full well that the money made in Canada from their tour, does in fact go to the states.

I'm looking for a local not for profit group to help sell tickets and make money for themeselves.

Also, I used to live in Sandy Hill and work at Olympic sports, so I'm kind of local aren't I??

Cheers

SFU trusted you and made over two grand last year? What the fuck are you talking about buddy? There was no MSP premier at SFU last year. They held it at some gay club downtown with steep drink prices. MSP cannot afford any more ill will from anyone because it's not like we don't already hate them. A step in the right direction would be not lying through your teeth to the skiers of Ottawa. Why the fuck should they trust you now?

Dude, seriously, don't even try. Just give up.

No one wants to see an MSP movie. No one cares, I've seen Ski Movie 1, it's the same as Ski Movie 2, which is the same as the Ski Movie 3, which is, again, the same as Focused.

You can fool people a few times, but it's over now. You, Steve, Murray, and the rest of the fucking MSP crew can stay the fuck home and out of our fucking country.

Bitch.

The internet is for slandering others anonymously.

TW,

sorry about the confusion.

When I referred to last year at SFU, I was an IP for Warren Miller....ask huxter.

As for Jib_This,

As I mentioned in the Vancouver forum,

I don'work for MSP, and I'm based in Ontario.

Cheers.

Nick, I am gonna come visit....get the liver ready.

i actually think you'd get a better crowd at ottawa u, in all seriousness. take it there. straight up man, CU is more core than an msp premiere.

plus our own ski and snowboard club, full of current CU students, is taking care of the ski premieres that come in to the school, and we didn't pick hit list.

ps, tommy bought out olympic, and it closed this past winter.

The plan for this year was actually made just before the end of last year, however staff at CU has changed and therefore our plans may.

I would be open to any advice on the market and appreciate what you've mentioned so far.

I'll look into it.

Thanks

SB

what staff are you referring to?

tommy has owned olympic since the beginning of time. they just wanted to keep the new corporate image instead of dealing out of a small shop anymore

i wouldn't really go to carleton to do msp, ottawa u you'll have a better chance. most people at cu are core , and hate msp with a passion to tell you the truth.

Honestly, thanks for the input regarding the premiere, especially those of you who hate msp.

It certainly helps.

The staff I was referring to was at Olivers

seriously? wow, thats something i did not know.

Not too sure what that means, but there is no premier in Ottawa currently planned. The CU show is cancelled, or will be at a different venue at a later date.

he means the cu ski and snowboard club movie premiere madness.

Yeah, I wouldn't drive a Micro Machine to the end of my bed for an MSP premiere. I'm talking about the CU snowboard/ski club premiere. The real deal biznotch!
