Canadore College has a pretty great 3 year Digital Cinematography program, as of which I'm enrolled in.

I'm in first year and we've been doing some amazing stuff so far and the second years are even shooting a full length film. It's a pretty new program, only been around for 2 years, but its been growing since day one. I'm not sure of many other programs that you can get a placement on a real film set in the 1st semester of the 1st year.

Yeah it's in North Bay, but there is actually a thriving industry in northern Ontario due to all the government tax breaks for productions that shoot up here.

The equipment the school has is great. Canon 5d mkII's, Sony F3's, and the school has a Red Epic. The school will also be getting a few Blackmagic 4K Cameras as well once they are released. The school also has all the grip and rigging gear you would need as well, whether it's a 8x8 silk or a High wattage HMI the schools got you covered.

Here is some work that our first year class has done:

The assignment was a B&W Silent with 1 Character, 1-2mins, 1 location.

I may be a bit biased due to the fact that I go there, but happy and productive students are a good sign of the schools quality.
