Film or Digital?

Personally I hate digital. There is always a delay unless you want to spend a ridiculous amount of money and most of my pictures come out all grainy. Also i like getting my pictures printed or doing it myself in a dark room.

drunks go through stop signs

Stoners sit and wait for it to turn green

I am a film purist as much as anyone, but saying Digital takes too long or comes out all grainy is ignorant. Have you seen any test shots from a Digital back? Or a 1Ds? or a Kodak PRO SLR? Digital is super convenient and better suited for some types of photography, like journalism? Think of what a hassle journalists in foreign countries had to deal with to get their pictures back to the states. Digital is getting better, just as film is getting better. The cameras and films and accessories are all getting better. If you don't like digital, just dont use it, but don't be ignorant about it.

Yeah, you have to pay if you want decent results. I'm finally getting something good once I sell my GL1. Canon 10D if my a guy my brother knows can get me that cheap, or else a D70. Even if you forget that you'll save money in the long-term, the convenience of digital is a huge selling point.

if im just taking pictures of regular shit, digital is fine. i do prefer using 35mm film in my k1000 to that any day though. digital is much easier to use, thats why i got one. no light meter to fuss with or anything
