FIFA World Cup is coming up, who are you rooting for?!

i want U.S. out early because face it we aren't the best team and i dont want espn airing games of u.s. vs. some other team instead of a good one like germany vs france (first round!) which will be freaking sick

its something like germany vs. france anyways one of the many countries they invaded during ww2. also there's a country that used to be a colony of britain or spain that is playing one of those countries in the first round as well which should be a good matchup. ultimately, i just want to see some good soccer and coverage of a riot or two after a big game
 
I definitely will be rooting for the ivory coast. If just getting to the world cup united the country, think of what will happen if they win. They might have peace finally.
 
If getting to the world cup united the country then they are seriously fucked, because as soon as they lose (and they will) chaos will return.

even tho i dont play soccer, i find that european soccer is much better than the MLS. i watched the UEFA championship a few days ago and then today watched some of an MLS game and it seems like the players in europe are so much more passionate. granted the UEFA game was the championship but ive watched other games and like it much more than the MLS
 
dude shut up. the US is in the best group of the world cup. all there games will be great. also ESPN, ESPN2, and ABC are going to show EVERY SINGLE match. and you may not think the US is any good but they are ranked above both teams in your beloved germany vs france game. give the US some respect.

fuckin France will take it again. Just wait and see, final will be France vs Germany, and this time France will take the win and change the course of history. I so wish I was in Germany, beer, and hookers are legal there and apparently they are expecting thousands of them soon to satisfy the angry supporters

take it easy i didnt know all the channels where gonna be devoted to the cup. that changes everything. actually it doesnt i still want the us out early and a european team to win it. maybe my precious france-germany game will be a good one who knows? why do you have a problem with me not respecting the us's soccer?
 
USA and Italy. It kind of sucks they are in the same group because I dont know who to root for. I was sooo fucking pissed the way that Italy lost to South Korea in the last world cup so hopefully bullshit like that wont happen again.

Yeah espn, fox, most of the sport channels. But man be serious u think US is better than Germany, Brasil, England Spain, HOLLAND, Italy, Argentina etc?? Come on man be realistic. Who is ur best player btw? I havent seen beasley scoring much points this year!

and i can't really say if the US is better than all those teams because i don't know much about all of them. but i do know that FIFA thinks the US is better than all those teams(except Holland) because they ranked the US higher than them.

i never said i know nothing about soccer. I said i didn't know much about those teams because i haven't really watched any of their matches because i do not get them on basic cable. i was just going off the FIFA ranking ok? and if you're so knowledgeable on soccer where were you in 2002 when the USA would have beat Germany in the quarterfinals if it weren't for an amazing game from Oliver Kahn?
 
USA, i know they only have a tiny chance of making it to the final but still we are finaly geting good as soccer team and we can play on the same level as the big boys soooo USA! USA!, o and england too

England..that will give me a excuse rather to get drunker than usual. and if they dont win i can also drown my sorrow and get drunk anyway.

shame we dont stand a chance...brazil and czech republic in the final.
