Predictions on the winner?

I'm thinking Germany or Portugal
 
i'm scared the U.S will get Brazil and Italy in their group... in which case we would be mucho fucked
 
I'm not overly worried about Italy, we can draw them again. Brazil would be a pain. No one would stop Neymar or Hulk...
 
I like how these dancers are just kicking women around. I seriously have no idea what I'm watching.
 
The netherlands are capable of putting 8 up every game... that would be miserable.

It's a lottery draft with a lot of rules so that teams no more than 2 teams from each continent can be in a group. The ranking within the group is for order of who you play in the group stage.
 
At least the Dutchies have an almost confirmed second place.

At least now if I do make it to Brasil for the cup, I can wear my USA jersey and wont be killed. People will probably give me food and other goods because they feel bad.

If we can get a win against Ghana I think we can surprise Portugal, beat that little bitch Rolando, and get out of the group.
 
Portugal just tied Israel... If we can contain CR we could win. And as far as Ghana goes it's gonna be tough but now that we aren't in Africa anymore things could be very different from the last time around. And Germany........ I'll sacrifice my left nut to the soccer Gods if we pull that one off.
 
This is gonna be a good WC. Rooting for the home team of Murica.

But really pushing for Holland to win it all. Ever since that lose in 2010, I've been wanting them back in action. Twas heartbreaking.

 
True. Portugal are a one man team. If I were Klinsmann I would just stick Beckerman on him.

We should be able to beat Ghana as long as we don't fuck ourselves again. I don't see the u.s. letting Ghana beat us 3 world cups in a row
 
Damn OP called pretty much called our draw in the first post. I think we can take Ghana but that won't mean anything if we can't contain CR7.

IF we do manage to get through, we WILL be placed against Belgium who no doubt will be taking group H. Thats where the world cup will surely end for us.
 
True, but i'm not scared of them scoring goals, and yeah, Nani is a match winner if he plays to his potential, but how often does that happen? Twice a year, maybe? Portugal, at least offensively, are essentially a one man team.

I personally don't see a clear favorite. Brazil, Spain, Germany, and Argentina are all very good, and Belgium and Italy can keep up as well on their day. But if I had to pick a winner I'd say Germany.They have an enormous amount of quality all over the field, and especially in midfield. It's hard to see a team with Schweinsteiger, Gundogan, Kroos, Reus, Schurrle, Goetze, Ozil, Muller, etc. losing.
 
I like Belgium a lot, I think they match up very well against a lot of teams, but I don't see anyone getting past Germany when all is said and done. They are almost too deep for their own good.
 
I'm having violent mood swings between two sides.

1. Portugal struggled in qualifying, and just because they normally pick up at tournament time doesn't mean it'll happen again. Ghana has played some seriously poor countries to qualify, despite them being our Achilles head to an extent. Germany, we beat their B team. We can draw the first XI.

2. BITE THE PILLOW USA

GERMANY, PORTUGAL, GHANA AND FIFA ARE GOING IN DRY
 
That might be the wishful thinking option. But all it takes is one bad performance, and Germany has insane amounts of pressure to not only win, but demolish their opponents.

I've not lost faith just yet.
 
I have no doubt in my mind that Germany is going to win. Maybe Brazil, Holland or Brazil will end up in the finals with them.

Im thinking that USA might get draws against ghana and portugal. If you are unlucky, ronaldo will rip you apart like he did with Sweden in the qualifiers.
