FFM 2006 FASHION TOUR

I could be a spokesman! I could model you my ski outfit:

Generic black stockinghat bought in Chile for $5

2001 PocketRockets, used for $200

Generic black gloves from 2000, holes in them, $15

2001 Orage ski pants, $200

2002 Helly Hansen green jacket, $200

Generic Scott or Smith goggles, on sale for $10.

Leki Race poles from 1999, $40.

Would I be a good model? I consider myself pretty fashionable. Next year I might even pick up a new pair of ski pants, used of course.

Oh, and Josh Loubek as our spokesman is the best news I've heard all year as far as skiing goes. 360 Screamin Seamen!

You know what, we should really stop basing what tricks we do on whether they look stylish and focus on whether they show off the outerwear effectively. It doesn't matter if the tricks look good, it matters if they make the CLOTHES look good.

I think this is the right direction for skiing to be going. Yup. 100%.
 
hey beau steele! can we be 'men'? can you be 'my man'? or is that x-tremely name dropified? Should we have a creative meeting about the post i should make on NS, and consult with our yes-men on how this will reflect the image of our corporate mission statement? Perhaps we should construct a 'street team' of 'pro skiers' who are actually SPIES, and instead of being innovative and trying to help the wellbeing of the freeski industry, we can shout to the kids, at the top of our lungs, "WE HAVE NO CREATIVE ABILITIES AND WILL BITE EVERY STYLE THAT IS POPULAR AT THE TIME!!! LET'S MAKE SOME MONEY!!" But of course, that would all be vocalized in the form of corporate jargon on a site used mainly by 8-14 year olds, who use the site for C.J's hot girl thread as a seguay to pornography and masturbation.... great job beau, you just made a complete mockery of yourself, your company, and the industry... but for sure, WERE ALL STOKED!!!! keep telling yourself that... a positive image is the first way to lure consumers to your product, being real is played out...

The tour is not trying to grab on and ride freeskiing fashion's wake, we are actually working with some of the bigger companies in the industry to bring a new way to check out the fashion in skiing. From our talks with industry folk, it is apperent that this is already happening, with companies putting the clothes they want to market on their athlete's bodies for movies, x-games, and other 'x-treme' gatherings and competitions. All we, the FFM, are doing is to work with freeski fashion's top designers to further the progression of clothes for the up coming years. We will be leading the charge into the next wave of fashion, and you can be sure, it will be radical!
 
the tricks will need to market the clothes effectively: use of shadow and design, and make sure the poles don't conflict with the design on the pants/jacket to acheive maximum effect.

Bonus points of course for a centered logo of your sponsor on a cover shot. this is the progression we need.
 
The reason skiing was selected was because it has its own distinctive style, with the clothing being as important as the skills involved. In short, skiing was already a fashion show, so the FFM found it to be the perfect place to base itself.

Anyone think this might actually be good for our sport? I mean, exposure = money, and there seems to be money in the FFM...
 
some one read my posts pleassssssseeeeeeeeeeee. haha. whatev let this dude do whatever. if it blows up whatev and if not then it dies, im not going to lose sleep over some fashion show. Lets go skiing melvs.
 
well that was rather comical. i sure hope his fasion show is 'radical' and 'x-treme'. im up for a gnarly tubular radical x-treme time!
 
Wrad. I didn't read anyones elses posts. Josh Loubeck. Skiing is fashionable clothes certainly know? Its just Knot believable.
 
I sure hope that this thing is just a big joke, and if not buddy, i dont agree with your points. how can you ever choose skiing over skateboarding or snowboarding.. i just dont believe you.
