Festival talk

Was at Fvded in the park last weekend and wasn't expecting much but it was insane, Travis Scott killed it, metro boomin was lit, waka even came out with belly. Never been to edm thing but Jack ü was the craziest thing I've ever experienced.

Off to pemberton next weekend!

bisco is my new favorite fest. The water park, the vibes, the line up, the chicks... Everything..

As of right now, Bisco will need to find a new home. Live Nation and the county are at odds in regards to the contract of the amphitheater.

Negotiations are happening, but from what I hear, the county is upset with the festivals, lack of parking, and complaints about people parking on private property. The current contract is up on 9/1, so they need to start making some moves to get it done.

The county will be hue idiots if they allow LN to walk. There is no other management and booking company that would take on operating the amphitheater. It would just sit there rotting.

As for LN, they are partners with The Biscuits and The Allman Brothers, so both Peach and Bisco could go on somewhere in Eastern, PA as all booking for both shows is done out of the Philly office.

yeah, this bisco was my favorite festival ever ( i have been to like 16 or 17 is few years) and i think it was because nectar wasnt there. i ususally only to festies where nectar is at because i love his shit, but last year i realized how much i hate the fan base.

we managed to get into vip after parties which were fucking nuts. got to meet big wild, 12th planet, allen & brownie from tDB and GRIZ ( we saw him 4 times if you include big grizmatik)

also wave pool on K is one of the best things ever.

really hope they keep that venue for bisco next year. that pavilion is so perfect, and having the water park made it so much better

best sets were:

STS9

GRiZ

All of the Biscuit sets (especially set 5)

lotus

Odesza

late night radio

FKJ

Funky dawgs brass band ( they played like 18 sets through out the festival grounds)

Let downs:

Big grizmatik

keys & krates

anything in that indoor stage besides luzcid

Catskill muthafuckin Chill. Sorry if ya missed it.

Standouts for me were The Magic Beans, Mike Gordon, Pink Talking Phish + Fu, Turkuaz... Tons of good music and good vibes all weekend

Jeezum Crow at jay peak Vermont this weekend. Ya'll are missing out on a good time

Jeezum crow was a blast in 2015.

Also regrding the chill posts. Wish i made the last one. I did the first 3. Up in my top festivals for sure. Crazy how fast it grew. Bummer its no more.

Im prolly hitting summer camp and a few others. Ill be seeig some phish and moe. Summer is overrated but stoked to do one amd see some music again.

What's everyone's festival plans for this upcoming summer?

I got an Eager Beaver ticket for Outside Lands, lineup isn't as dank as last year in my opinion, but shit was too fun to skip out on this summer. I may be hitting Sasquatch as well, and also considering Lollapalooza. Too much music, too little money, but that's the way she goes

Was thinking about Electric Forest but idk if I’ll be able to make it happen this year because of money. I live in Florida so it’s a bit of a hike too.

Everyone go to Hulaween!! Best festival I’ve been to as far as venue and vibes, and the lineup is usually pretty great too

Anybody have experience at camp bisco?

Been lookin at goin but not sure if it would be my type of place.

I’ve heard good things and imo the lineup is ridiculously stacked this year, but if you’re not into EDM/Dubstep then you’re probably not gonna enjoy much of the music, excluding the disco biscuits

was anybody else at union transfer for lotus last week in philly? friday was a circus

yessir friday was fucking killer, just got back from DC yesterday for the last two nights of the spring tour the boys have been killing it lately. One last hurrah bust out in philly was epic

festivals suck now a days i used to go before people died on E... now i can hardly go to any without someone dying

I really don't think I have been to one where people have died. There has been a few times where someone leaves in an ambulance, usually from dehydration. They also have conscious crew that will walk around and look for people that fall/faint and give them a water bottle

Trying to hit some since I’m stuck around here for the summer. Anyone ever go to Beardfest? It’s the bestttttt!!! Went to Light City on 4/20 for free G Love show and he brought out Kelly Bell. It was awesome

Electric Zoo on Randall's Island went twice ppl died both times

Idk how that would affect your festival experience to the point of not going to festivals anymore, what a dumb reason

ive gone to tons where people died. That said when you have 100k+ people camping in a field for4 days with temps over 100, 1 death a year isnt that bad.

ive never been to anything where people were dying left and right.

Med tent sure, dying nah.

who's hittin what in the northeast? i'm into smaller festies these days may hit one or two of: germination fest (me) or wildwoods (nh). camp bisco in my backyard is my main thang these days and hell fkn yah my boys lespecial got added to the bisco lineup this year

I'd love to got to all of those but being in Montana makes it difficult. I went to Frendly Gathering one year and it was amazing. Played stump with Danny Davis and got to meet Mac Demarco. Felt like that can only happen at a small fest. This year, while the whole festival lineup isn't so great, I'm going to day three of Panorama in NYC. Highlights for me are Greta Van Fleet, Fleet Foxes (the two need to power up and become Greta Van Fleet Foxes), and Odesza. Went to Panorama and saw Tame Impala last year and it was out of this world. Best concert i've seen by a long shot. Went from being a so so fan to understanding the well deserved hype. Since Goldenvoice produces the festival, the production quality and sound are as good as it gets. Another plus is that its a fairly new festival and it doesn't sell in crazy numbers which makes it way less crowded and easier to get good spots/go to the bathroom/eat etc. Check out Tame's mind-blowing set:
=3100s

I missed lespecial a couple weekends ago at some kind of jam but octave cat played before them and they were soooo sick!! That’s sweet they got added to bisco but I don’t go to that. You should check out Beardfest. It’s my favorite!
