Stoked as shite to be there. I love music, and Montreal, and partying.

It's three of my favourite things!

The lineup this year has some gems although I think last year was off the chain, definitely looking forward to seeing Chvrches, Glitch Mob and Young & Sick, plus party my pants off until 3 am in the wonderful city of Montreal.

Feels good to not have to pay for housing now that I've moved into my new place a few blocks away from the best bars in the city.....

Found this interesting. I know it's on mobile format and what not.

Also, Coachella tickets go on sale Friday, pretty excited to grab one already.

Don't know if my friends from this year will be going, so I may see about heading out with an NSer. I met a skier fella my age from whistler last time, he was with our camping crew, but we just hung out the whole time.

It's one of those natural things

Anybody heading Summer Set in August?!?!?! My group still has one spot left at our campsite, and one spot in the car leaving from Breck and/or Boulder. Line up is lookin real proper

Hudson Fest ticket confusion: I bought my pass w/camping a while ago and now all the sudden there are parking passes for sale. Do I need to buy this now too?

Yeah the $15 park and ride ticket or the more expensive on site pass is required.

Anyone else heading to Sasquatch?

Meee

I have a theory....music festivals are ruining regular tours. Sometimes I want to see a band for a full set...

No one does summer tours anymore, they just go from festival to festival. Lame. Would you rather see a ton of good music on one weekend or spread throughout the whole summer?

Both for sure. Festivals are so much fun, but full sets are awesome as well. I'd choose the experience of a festival if I had to pick one though. I'm just as excited to see modest mouse at the Hudson Project as I am to see the kings of Leon do a full set at Bethelwoods in august.

I agree. Id rather go to 5-7 normal concerts for 300 dollars then pay to go to a festival, but no one plays normal shows during the summer any more. Only time you can see an artist is during the winter now. And I go to school in an area where that isnt possible unless im on a break.

This flavorus bullshit has an awful checkout. It says it can't remember my card info and to re enter it. Then when I re enter it it says "you already have this card." So what if I do? I just want my damn parking pass.

I've heard rumors they are waiting for Mysteryland and Mountain Jam to pass for the festival buzz to be in full swing, then they'll announce round 2 or artist and most likely single day tickets. Not sure when the lineup will be announced. Mysteryland just released their lineup and it's a week away. Hopefully sooner than that for your sake. Why not just get the whole weekend? Festivals are fun as shit regardless if you know all of the bands. One big party..

Awesome man thanks a TON for the info about that. And I would do the whole weekend in a heart beat, all of us would. It's just that my buddy's grad party is on the 13th and I told him about the festival after he scheduled the party so sadly we aren't able to make the entire festival.

heading to sasquatch later this week, pemberton festival in July then heading off to Greece the next day for a month and already have my cochella ticket for next year.

Very excited for the summer

Weekend 1 or 2 for Coachella?

I managed to grab a weekend 1 ticket, and parking pass.

So yea. Hopefully my friends are able to get a ticket when they go on sale again

Toilet paper for when the bathrooms run out, tarps, refillable water bottle even a camelback, maybe a lock for your bag or tent, a blanket to sit on are some random items

I was considering doing Boardmasters and I'm planning on Bestival. I've just heard Boardmasters has quite the cornish heavy drinking crowd. Bestival should be sick. Just bought my tickets for...

good vibes

And everything else is a bonus

Instrument if you play one.

Instrument even if you don't play one

A case per person of water

Plenty of beer. Some liquor isn't a bad idea for the size to alc% ratio

Flashlights

Lighters(lighter leash is good if you don't wanna loose them all)

toilet paper

Phone charger for car and outlet. Even if your car is dead you can find a strangers car to charge it on. Sometimes you can find a random outlet at a festival so never a bad idea to bring one of those just in case.

Sunscreen.

Shade tent. (Don't buy the shitty $50 ones. Spend at least $100 if you want it to last)

camping chairs.

Cooler or coolers.

If you have a grill you can buy some food before and fill your coolers to the max with ice before you head in. If you have food buy some ice in the fest if they offer it or make a run to the store

TEST KIT. Never a bad idea to have one of them. If you want you can take donations for testing things for people. Could make your money back plus get down on some party favors and most importantly potentially save some lives.

Idk, there's a lot of things you can bring, all depends on your style. Just gotta find what it means to you. Some people like a hammock to kit it in somewhere.

Don't be afraid to sit in somebody elses camp. Don't be afraid of somebody sitting in yours. BE friendly if doing so. If you smoke weed it's even easier. Great way to meet good people.

Be friendly. Probably something like 90% of the people I know I know from fests and shows all over the country. Sometimes you just meet a person once, sometimes you'll keep running into that person. As long as you bring some good vibes everything should be good.

Hudson Project has the sickest fucking line up. For once in my life I am saying why did I have to go to Whistler that weak hahah.

Mysteryland starts tomorrow! So stoked! If anybody is Holy Ground camping you'll see our groups Peace American flag. Feel free to stop by!

Have fun everyone. Rage safe!

Wish I was setting up camp at summercamp right now. Not doing anything for this weekend this year though.

If you see anyone selling test kits grab one.

Anybody who had a festival over the weekend, how was it? I was at mysteryland and it was my first edm festival and it was amazing. If you're a fan of festivals I highly recommend raging at an edm show.

Tent city from near the stages. Camping was in the same spot in '69 for Woodstock

sasquatch was fucking amazing!

It was my first, but absolutely not my last festival!

i realize that im preaching to the choir now, but everyone needs to go to a festival at least once!

Just got back from sasquatch.

This was my 4th year now but some of the highlights were Cudi, Haim, Cut Copy and Rudimental.

Major lazer sucked dick and kinda sounded like he was auditioning for bang bus ("everyone take off your shirts!!!)

Really stoked for Pemberton Festival later this summer though

Rudimental was absolutely amazing I went to it without really listening to them first and it was absolutely amazing, they are going to playing on repeat in my car for a while now

Halfmoon run was fucking amazing as well, just such a good vibe, because I don't think many people who weren't already fans were in the crowd

Band of skulls was also fucking crazy, people were constantly crowd surfing to the front, and the entire crowd was literally body checking each other the whole time

I thought major lazer was good, but I felt like it went started going down hill after he told people to take off there shirts

Also as side note which one of you were wearing the tgr hat during major lazer?

I'd go to more festivals if they didn't cost as much as a seasons pass / was not filled with a majority humans I could do without seeing.
