So if she gives feminism a bad name, what does all this activity give a bad name to?

Clearly feminism is still needed when getting angry means you deserve to be raped, killed, and have people release your information online to mock you for things like your dead dog.

Am I defending her? No. - Do I think there is another side to this that deserves more attention? oya.
 
I hate feminists. Want to be treated equal but at the same time think woman have special rights over men. Fucking annoying.
 
I promised myself I wouldn't comment too much but -

The tricky thing that people don't realize about feminism is that it (as well as everything else) exists in a social context. These 'special rights' are usually things like women's centers which may offer resources on rape crisis etc. Because more women get raped than men, these services are necessary and proportional to demand, not 'special.' The end game is absolutely and always will be equality, but until it exists in all ways, there are going to have to be pragmatic solutions that look unequal.
 
I think he was also referring to smaller things. Like dating, the guy is assumed to do everything. And you can't punch a girl in the face if they did something that you would punch a guy for. Feminism is just confusing
 
Yeah I agree with it being confusing. A big holy shit moment for me is when I realized that feminism does disagree with those things, and a lot of stuff men's rights groups want, feminism also wants. The small stuff like that is based on a society where men are expected to be dominant, providing, protecting. Which they can want to be, which is okay, but feminism (to my understanding) wants a place where men aren't forced into those roles and women can assume them if they want. This would also cover paying for shit, going to war etc. Anyways I'm out, exams, piece.
