I had the good fortune of watching this weekend's televised ski racing and was psyched to catch the performance of my friend, Julia Mancuso, from Squaw, who finished 3rd in her race. She ripped that course in such a smooth yet hardcore attack.... so I got to thinking about this discussion board and how she feels about people saying that racing is gay. Then I wondered if the racer haters on here actually hate on the female racers too. Hopefully not, cause what she does is awesome.

its the same as guys for me, just some of the chicks are cute. its all good for me, i love and respect all aspects of skiing

i dont really think racers are gay i just hate a lot of em cuz they're douche bags and they're work hard to earn that name. Im all for girls racing, its so hot

Any female out there who can rip it up on the slopes is ALWAYS welcome. I don't care if she is racing (gs suit is so hot by the way) or going big in the park we need more females in this sport period.

Pain is just weakness leaving the body :)
 
i used to race but after i stopped racing i kept my suit. now i wear it to school and into town and stuff. its awesome

i hate it when peoople diss racers..ya i admit i use to be one but racers work their asses off getting up so early and all the world cup racers have worked so hard to get there. so anyone who wants to diss racing should try it out first. and they're definetly not all rich so people need to stop the stereotyping.

yeah some are cool...some are complete bitches. i have met ALOT of snobby bitchy racers. for some reason i have not met alot of snobby bitchy female newschoolers though. wonder whats up with that.

I used to race for 7 years and this is my first year not racing and there are alot of kids that race that are cool, however alot are douchebags. At my mountain most of 'em are cool and half the kids that ski the park also race.
