Fellow Newschooler/best friend died today pursuing his dream.

Iam also a freeskier in Las Vegas but I sadly never got to ski with him :( vibes man this sucks

saw this on the news today, shocked me. i lapped the rope tow with him a few times, great guy and fantastic skier. my heart goes out to his family and close friends, he'll be missed at home and on the hill. vibes man, fuck all those that down voted this

We all really miss him, he meant the best for everybody. He had such a welcoming heart, first day I met him was the day we started working together and from there on he's been like a brother. Taught me how to hit my first down rail, and got me spinning.. I owe so much to him.

++vibes to you.

keep busy and if you ever find yourself thinking of him, think of the good times you had with him. trust me, it will make you feel happier. he sounded like a good man.

I had the privilege of camping next to him for a few days at airstrip last summer. Dude was genuine, funny, and fuckin loved skiing. He was pretty mean with throwin a hatchet too, i have a slow-mo shot of his hatchet throw exploding a pickle jar we found in the woods. Its always the best we lose too young, i know hes shreddin it up there. RIP RUSS!

I didnt know him but i have a little connection because i ski skibowl all the time. Ive never met anyone there who wasnt awesome. He sounds like the kinda guy i would have liked to ski with.

Sorry for your loss. At least he went out doing what he loved.

I bet the pillows in heaven are gigantic

I can't even imagine..major vibes to you buddy. Keep your head up and stay strong! Ski in peace.

because that's when it fucking happened....people should be showing more respect for the guy. This is really sad news, i hope you make it through this alright. Losing a friend is tough.

oh man, it cant be anything else than very hard no one wants to lose their skimates=( its always very sad when we skiers hear that other skier lost live while chasing dream... get well soon!=)

I'm sorry for your loss man. Think about him every time you ski, and let the memory of him push you to be as good as you can be.
