Feenoms, soldiers, and crowbars

arright, so i'm in the market for some new goggles, and i'm undecided between von zipper feenoms, spy soldiers, and crowbars. i have tried on soldiers and crowbars both, but never the feenoms. so to anyone who has them or has used them, what do you think? how is the vision?

the ones i am looking at have the gold chrome lens.

and here are the soldiers, with the bronze silver mirror lens.

I have both the crowbars and the soldiers and the vision is def better on the crowbars. I havent got to use the crowbars on the slopes yet cause I bought them at the end of this season but I havent had any real problems with the soldiers.

Feenoms are fantastic. I have the exact goggles pictured above. They have a huge field of vision, second only to the Electric EG2s. The gold mirror lens is super dark, but I was luck enough to find a yellow (low-light) lens for clouds and night. I love 'em.

My mom has soldiers and she loved them, those would be a good choice, I like Smith Phenoms though, maybe look at those?

The Feenoms have equal peripheral vision to the Crowbars (I own and use both), and I personally just prefer the construction of Smith/Oakley/VZ over Spy. You'll probably be able to find the Feenoms for cheaper online, and they have a bit more style. The upside to Oakley is that if you ever get a chance to see durability tests of their lenses, you'll be sold on them saving your eyes just in case you're in a shootout or hitting a tree branch at 40mph (equal chances if you're a thug skier like me).

If you are up for a different frame color in the Feenoms, my store has that lens just in a different frame (the White frame is super steezy though, so I'll understand).

Hope this helps.

I'm not sure how, having used both, you can say that. One of my biggest problems with goggles these days are that they're just too small, restricting your vision. Everyone here talks about how great the peripheral is on the Crowbars, but, once I finally used a pair, I was really disappointed. They're much smaller than say the Smith Prodigy, which toes the line between a large and medium-sized peripheral. The Feenoms are bigger.

bahahahah u do realize smith makes the phenom and vz makes the feenom. they are two different goggles but they both exist....

i have feenoms and they have never fogged and they have a great field of view and are super comfortable. i highly recommend those

alright, so it's down to feenoms vs. crowbars.

the final showdown.

WHICH DOES EVERYONE RECOMMEND?

i'm gonna say if you have a bigger face definitely go with the feenoms; if you have a smaller face the crowbars. just for reference: my coworker doesn't like the crowbars because the bridge of his nose is a little low, so he gets some air-gaps up in there (he has a larger face), but both of them seem to fit my average size face pretty well.

hope that helps.

jeez those are incredible. i hear electrics are notorious for fogging up. is this true for the eg2?

i personally am not a big fan of my crowbars... im getting either spy soldiers or something from smith this year.... was really disappointed with the crowbars

I just got Feenoms, and they look sick. I got a great deal on them at backcountry outlet, and they cost less than soldiers. My only complaint is that they're kinda squeaky.

I have soldiers and I love them. I love the look of them, and they were super comfy. No complaints at all with them.
