Rope tow behind Summit Boardshop in Lake Elmo MN is up an running. It's absolutley sick. You can do more than 60 laps in an hour. We are thinking of doing a Crew wars comp. Basically you can put together a shop team or just a group of friends skiers and snowboarders together whatever you want. The groups would consist of 4 to 6 people. Your Crew would pay $50 to enter. We would have food and drink. Winner gets light saber and bragging rights as top crew for one year. We would do a raffle and product toss as well. We are thinking of having a 1 hour jam for all crews then picking 10 crews to ge head to head to pick a winner. Want to see if this would interest anyone. If so we are looking at doing this around the 30th of Jan. Thanks

so jam qualifier to a head to head semis?

The whole idea is sick but idk how having more than 60 ppl jamming at the same time would work cause you would have to distinguish crews

Should be a really sick comp, i would be so down to do it especially after the fail that was shop wars

We were thinking each team would have to wear some kind of attire that would seperate them from the rest of the teams. As for 60 people that would be great But an hour of riding and a ropetow should mean we can spread everyone out pretty well..

there could be team themes/costumes like orage masters

but yeah if your picking top 10 teams and theres 4-6 ppl per team you would have at least 50-60 ppl. or just do a few smaller jams to seed for brackets, that way everyone gets cut just after the jam.

i think a crew comp would be supppper fun!! but that's quite the drive from madison, and i doubt everyone would be able to make it up

This is good response. Right now we are going to shoot for Friday night jan 29th. I will have a news release for you in the next 2 days. Right now we are thinking put a crew together of 4-6 people your crew can include both skiers and snowboarders. You will need to wear something that seperates you from the rest of the crews(t-shirt, cotume, whatever). Crews will jam for 1 hour during that hour crews will be picked to move onto finals. If enough crews signup we will have two jams. The finals, 8 crews will go head to head. 2 crews on course at a time will get 5 minutes to prove themsleves better than the other crew. If you win head to head you will go on to face another crew. The overall winner gets a trophy(will be sick) that you will hold onto for one year. You will have your crew posted on our website maybe even newschoolers as the top crew in the midwest. Lets hear your thoughts more details coming soon.

How big of a event is this going to be? I have been wanting to bring a crew up this way for awhile and do some filming. Any cash prizes to make the drive up not suck as bad ha.
