I think I can confidently say this purchase(a special one at that) I made this season, a pair of Sir Francis Bacon's, from Line skis, will be my last purchase from Line skis as a whole. After the debacle of Line + K2 I wasn't stoked on buying into Line, but the bacon is such an dope ski I just had to get my hands on. I went ahead a pulled the trigger.

Delay after delay, the Elizabeths and the Bacon's continually got pushed back farther and farther. Last date I heard(I repeate, of MANY date's I heard) from a respected shop was the first week of December.

Time passed, that week has gone and passed. I'm bacon-less. I check the press release linked up at the bottom. I'm fed up.

Send my skis...I thought this fresh new owner was supposed to make you elite and efficent. So far all I've seen happen is the opposite(anthem problem, shipping delays, this bacon/lizzy mess)

And p.s. for those who say I can wait for my skis the EC won't have any snow till then or that when I really can put these skis to use on trips out west I'll have them...it's not a matter of that, It's a matter of principle and simple shipping.

Draw your own conclusions.

well thats a bummer you should have your skis!! but im a huge fan of K2 and i only buy skis that the shop has in stock!

Damn..its pretty bad for the public image..Same with ninthward this year as well.

The bacons may be the only 07 Line ski will be worth the wait

ya i had some old line mavs and they delamed after 1 season of only 21 days, prob wont buy from them again. good luck gettin ur shit

yea, but ninthward fulfilled all the orders they were going to before stopping production.

This isn't about Line's ski quality, just simply about the past season up until now. I'll keep everyone posted.

this year is the first year i havent skied a line ski since i was in 7th grade. my shop cancelled their line order because the skis werent gunna come till christmas, and half their order (the anthems) werent coming at all. i feel kinda bad, they make some sick skis

The Anthem, as much as it sucks, is and isn't their fault. Newer/more original art IDEAS would have eliminated this, but also the KISS drummer being so protective was out of their hands. Just another bad thing for Line.

I'm interested in some numbers of shops canceling Line orders. Someone in the know shoot me a PM or post here if that info's postable. Is this becoming a big problem for Line or just a minor pain in everyone's ass?

i thought that it was just to shops that had them ordered for stock, and everyone that actually had them coming and had paid money got it yea?

wow, you cant even email them and ask for stickers, instead they tell you to go check the website. cause i just pulled their email outta my ass and all.

this post is a joke. thread = legit

i love how they post that pic up at the bottom, is that supposed to cheer you up or something? cause im pretty sure it would piss me off if i saw someone shredding on some skis when im not even gona get my skis til half way thru the winter if im lucky

I retract a little of this thread. Certainly not all, but some. A conversation changed my outlook a little, so thanks goes out for that. This won't be my last line purchase, yes it's lame I don't have my skis, and yes, well thats it, that sucks. Could be worse anways.

What even reminded me I had these coming was the whole Pollard shredding in Freeskier(yuckkk) photo anual. Dope as shit shot.

cancel and buy some different lines. If they are the best skis they are the best. I have had similar problems with other companies.

just got my invaders today. absolutely stoked. if i see bacons on the net sumtime this seson and the money is in my account ill get them, im about 165 cm tall. ill just wait till im tall enough until i can ride them

It sucks, but they moved factories and delays this yeare were said to be in mid season. Half your fault for not looking into it. Hope you enjoy your skis when you get them in JAN

its cause they are with k2 and for some reason all the lines are made last, like k2 skis, snowboards and everything is made before like, thats what i heard.

it wont be a problem next year though.

thats a legit complaint. you got to have your skis at least a month in advance to sit around and look at them, and then get in all your ski gear and pop into the skis on your bedroom floor...

ya line is fucking pissing me off. they need to get their shit made earlier. its december, ski seasons started and im still riding my shitty urbans cause i dont have my damn skis in yet

Youre not on your own man, I am having huge shipping problems with salomon, they lost an order and ive been waiting a ridiulously long and ambiguous time for them to follow through, its frustrating after ive had so many good encounters in the past.

and after reading that if i had an order in i would start breaking bones asap, o man would i be livid good thing i don't order anything that i can't physically touch

i just want my ninthwards before i go to utah and i dont think they will be here in time, cause they keep pushing back the date... :(

I remember someone signature on NS or on TGR...something about not turning away from fat skis because some pro-skinny ski racer told you you were making a big mistake. Let me look...I can't find it damn.   I know some people know what I'm talking about. This thread isn't about which skis I'm buying or why. 95 underfoot is becoming a standard, but you don't have to follow. By all means stick with your 80mm underfoot pow boards and 67mm race stick. One day your eyes may be opened up to fat skis...one day, until that day thought, please don't tell me about the skis I'm buying. I'm way better looking than you anyways, so who cares if I can't turn left...

lov my invaders but like somebody above me said, im just goanna start buying what my shop has in stock, less trouble that way.

I'm having the same problem with Giro helmets at my local mtn. bike shop. I've been given like 4 different dates that the helmets should be in by. As of now i'm helmetless and not alowed to ride on the mtn. bike team that I started myself until i get one.

I understand that "things" happen. LINE is a niche ski and the Bacons are a niche within that niche. What I don't understand is that apparently no one has offered some type of consideration for future purchases, you are not an every day ski purchaser? Have you already paid for them, and if so, how long have they had your money? I would think that they would offer a full refund plus a substantial coupon towards a future purchase at a minimum.

1st or 2nd week of january?! damn. Well it looks like Line made my choice of skis for me I'm gonna have to go for some surface live lifes

Line has always fucked around. The reactors took 3 extra months to get to me when I ordered then the first season.

same thing happened to me last season.. my prophets got delayed so i got a full refund + pretty good discount coupon for any future puchase

I paid Jibij 1/2 the amount, and the other 1/2 gets paid when the skis ship to me. We'll see how it goes.

A Merger of 2 fairly large companies, that have to get shit sorted out in china production wise, now having to make a bunch of new types of skis is understandably time consuming.

It is extremely unfortunate that they are still having problems meeting the dates, and i feel your pain.

I highly doubt J Lev and other k2/line employee's are sitting around with their thumb up their ass. I really hope not anyway.

But not having your skis does suck.

Let us know how dope they are in January.

Lots of complications are expected with a merger of two companies, and new shipping, and I understand that/Line is working hard to fix it...but it's not ridiclous to be very upset about it, not at all.

I can ski powder on my 67s better than you can on your 115s. Whoever decided to market fat skis to east coast kids as fun/useful is a fucking genius.
