I'm going to Tahoe in February, and I'm kind of a travel n00b. Do you guys have suggestions for sites to find flights through? The cheapest I've found is 550 round trip. Also is there anything else I should look into besides for car rentals/places to stay?
 
if you book flights during weekdays, its a lot cheaper. also, the bigger airport you fly in and out of, the less it will gernerally cost. so if you fly to vegas and drive to tahoe, it might be cheaper. i am flying from jfk to lax in a few weeks for 220 round trip.

my break is from the 12-21. I'm thinking about going to reno and then driving to tahoe cause I'm gonna stay in north lake.

I've been using bing.com to find prices on tickets, is there a better site? To me, bing seems to have solid prices.
 
Try orbitz.com ? I've never personally used them but their commercials always claim to have the cheapest prices and stuff. Good luck !
 
kayak.com is the cheapest. It checks all the major sites for you. I use it every time I fly.
