Fear the kink

So my home mountain just put in a 35 ft dfd rail and I want to hit it but don't know how. Is there a specific way to hit the down to flat section without eating shit? I feel like as soon as I get to that section of the rail, my edges will catch and I'll get launched forward

Just bend your knees a bit and try to absorb it. First couple times I hit a kink I would just boner it and still never caught an edge so you should be fine.

naw don't worry about the kink. most resort rails have pretty mellow kinks (they'll look more abrupt from above) and your chances of catching an edge are very low unless youre leaning WAY too far forward and have your front edge down. don't worry about that

most likely scenario is the kink bumps you off first try. just absorb the kink and youre fine

My mountiAn also put in a dfd but it's 40feetn and there is like a halfpipe going up to it its the sketchiest thing ever. They also have this flat to drop rail any tips on how to do it it goes flat then to a big drop to down rail thanks

The trick with drop rails is to go fast and be light and agile with your feet and knees. Drops are basically the same as kinks, just be mellow.

Did my first dfd today at seven springs. I leaned back too much and fell the first two times but I got it the third time and didn't fall after that. Just bend your knees. You don't have to worry about catching an edge
