Fear the cracked disc

So i just went out and picked up my copy of "The Social Network" since it just came out yesterday (I don't care if I could have torrented it for free). The first thing I notice after opening the package is that the disc holder is extremely sticky and holds the movie in very well. After attempting to get my fingers under the sides of the disc for a while I give up and simply just try and pull it from one side and WHAMMY just cracks right down the middle and breaks the whole dvd. I don't know if this has ever happened to one of you but I definitely could have seen this coming with the way that they make it so difficult to free the dvd from these contraptions. Anywho, i'm kinda mad now that I just wasted $20 and am only left with the bonus disc haha. I doubt they'll even return it either but I guess it's worth a try.
 
dont tell them the case is broken. tell them it was like that in the box when you unwrapped it. they'll be able to get the company to fix replace it.
 
i'll try that but they'll probably be a bit suspicious that it would come in the case broken in half haha
 
just act dumb. they'll never believe you were stupid enough to break the thing by forcing it

This doesn't need it's own thread. I know that to you your probably pretty pissed and confused, but to the rest of us... It just doesn't really matter.

It will work. i've done it before. Just take it back, say it came like that, and deny any allegation that you may have done it.

I highly doubt the person probably working minimum wage at the store will try to accuse you of anythig. They will give you a new one and sent the other back to the production company
 
the person returned it for me she looked at me weird when i told her it came broke it half though
 
they don't actually care.
theres this fun little game that all the meth addicts play where you find something that they sell at LOWES and return it. you don't need a reciept, it can be used, and they will give you cash or credit for it depending on what it was bought with. kids i know who work there say that the junkies will buy driveway sealer, charge someone 200 dollars to seal their driveway, fill the buckets back up with water and return them for complete profit.
