Fear and progression

just dont think about it. like before i got decent at skiing i always thought about it too much and ended up not trying it

even though this is not my thread, thanks to all the people that gave some tips, there really gonna help me because i always physce myself out.

i say ski with ppl better then you and ask them to do it and explain how its done and how it feels, i got a twin bro and if he lands something i kno i can do it and if i land sumthin then he knows he can do itits all about having fun and stomping a new trick is almost as fun as it gets

if your that scared wait for a nice powder day, build a kicker and practice your new tricks into soft powpow then bring it to the park when you have it down

for me ill start trying more stuff as soon as i put on heavier music, its wierd. last weekend i had rege playing in the morning and i was a giant pussy. then in the afternoot i played Senses Fail Let it enfold you and i starded trying stuff

have confidence, believe in yourself and most importantly remain calm. almost every time someone gets hurt trying a new trick is cause they don't know how to throw the trick or they freak out in the air. remain calm in the air and you will be fine.

go for it and dont give yourself time to think about what could go wrong.

also a wise stoner once told me that if you keep putting it off today, your gonna find yourself with a bunch of empty yesterdays.

I usually just wait till I'm comfortable doing what I am doing, then when its second nature and I'm not ever really falling I step it up a notch. When I am out with people way better than me I always end up trying a bunch of crazy new rails and getting hurt though haha.

It's not because things are difficult that we do not dare ; its's because we do not dare that things are difficult

its definately important to ski with kids that are better than you. they will push you to try new tricks, today i skied with a kid that i hadn't skied with with year and he just told me to try a misty, and after watching him thrown them i was just like...ok.

Of course i ate shit like 3 times and he got a season ending concussion but you guys get the point...

Fuck it and Huck it.

not literally of course, dont want to get hurt doing something you cant handle, but you get the point

beer is my liquid courage!

i always try new tricks and ski harder after lunch when I have had 2 or 3 C-'s in the parking lot!

i just had the most amazing hike sesh with two of my best girls and learned so many new tricks, just go for it and if your surrounded by friends theres always someone to take care of you when you eat it real hard.

i do my best spur of the moment, if i think about something for a while i get nervous

ex.

going towards the jump, hmmmm what should i try?

backflip

ok i've tried it once, wasnt so bad, lets try it again
