FCP7 Question

Sorry if this is a really dumb question but whenever I pause playing my video in FCP7 I get this caution sign and little green lines in my canvas.



I don't know what they are from I adjusted all my sequence settings match to what I am shooting with. Nothing is wrong with the video I just don't know why they appear when the video is paused. Just wondering how to get them out or if I even need too.

They're zebras. They show areas that have blown out whites. The area that they cover has no detail, it's just white, overexposed. I think you go to view and then just uncheck "Zebras" in there somewhere. They won't show up in your final exported product.

yeah basically this. more of a tool for help with color correction/balance. i forget the shortcut or how to toggle those off the top of my head but they are just a reference, nothin to worry about, unless they cover the whole screen, then your footage is all clipped out, which is a whole different problem..so yeah
