Never had this problem before and I need it resolved fast.

I am trying to export one of my sequences. Lets say the sequence is called "ski edit", so when I export, it only exports one shot but still says the sequence is "ski edit". On my timeline, its a 3 minute long edit. So im kinda confused here.

+K for help! I need it fast!

I've had this happen before.

Make sure you don't have any specific clips in the timeline selected when you start the export

exporting now, seeing if that worked.

I had some weird markers i have not seen before that were exporting the clips in between them. thanks for the help

possibly thread/

ok just so i dont have make a thread-
when i export in fcp it is taking up 1.3 gb for just a 3min edit. wtf? anyone no how to fix it?

what are your timeline settings? if you are just going to >file >export, where it just starts going, it will export the sequence in its current format, which most of the times, will be a prores422 codec and it will come out uncompressed. if you want to compress it as you export it, you can go to >file >export with quicktime conversion, and select something like a h.264 codec for online stuff, set the resolution and other settings how you want and it should come out in the 3-5 hundred Mb range

and to the OP, make sure you don't accidentally have a clip selected when you go to export or make sure you don't have in and out points set on the timeline for some reason. those can eff it up too. and yeah get rid of the markers on the timeline itself, not the clips, if you don't need them cuz i know those can possibly affect it too

yeah man i got it. i had an in point and an out point set on like 2 seconds of one shot..

got it done though.

thanks! +K
