FCE Rendering

I've been using Final Cut for a long ass time now, Pro and Express, I'm no editing wiz but this fucking rendering shit pisses me off. I have a newer version of FCE and every fucking piece of new footage has to be rendered before I can watch it in my sequence, is there any way at all around this bullshit, I'm guessing not but anything helps.

I fucking hate rendering, takes too long for my attention span.

Thanks

P.s. Fuck rendering.

You need to set your sequence settings to what you are editing. If you do this correctly, you don't need to render.

They are the settings of your timeline. You need to create a new sequence and drop a clip into it (nothing else) and it will propt you to change the sequence settings to match the clip, hit yes.

I just tried that after you suggesting it, it didn't prompt anything.

And I looked at User Preferences - Render Control and everything sounded like it made sense:

Render and Playback:

Frame Blending For Speed - box checked

Filters - box checked

Render:

Frame rate - 100%

Resolution - 100%

what format are you files in? you need to set your sequence to that format.

You can go into your audio/video settings under the fcp tap(fce tab for you) and set your sequence settings manually then make a new sequence and you should be good.

Using FCE just click on the Final Cut Express tab go to Easy Setup....pick the right format, start a new sequence and you should be all set.

Can't find that, either I'm blind or its legit not there for some reason...

And those Easy Set Up settings are set for what I'm doing/using too
