Sup WA regionals I have recently been going on more hikes and I thought it would be cool to have a thread that you could share cool hiking spots with pics and advice.

I think that it's like a 12 mile hike in, but theres another lake about halfway that you can overnight camp at if you want. Honestly, the creek that winds through the meadow is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen haha, it's all glacier run off, and like 15ft deep but it looks like 1ft deep because it's just so clear. Its really an awesome place to be. Although I think it would be a bit too buggy for overnight camping up there.

I really want to check out the one you just posted, it looks awesome! This thread was an awesome idea btw

Cool thread

one of my favorites is the snowlake hike. pretty short and starts right at th ebase of alpental. The trail continous on past snow lake to a few other alpine lakes if you want to make it a longer hike.

Valhalla on the east side of stevens is really nice, 2 routes up to it (one leaves from the parking lot on the other side of the road from the ski area)

For a backpack, it's hard to beat the Buck Creek Pass area. Classic North Cascades scenery, fairly remote, with lots of possibilities for off trail routes.

Mt. Pilchuck is fun for a day hike, especially if you take the challenge route via Heather Lake. Been a while since I've been there though.

What are some good day hikes that have nice creaks/streams/waterfalls? Picking up a new medium format camera at the end of the month and want some good stuff to shoot

Thunder Creek

Lake 22

Gothic Basin has a higher up lake that'd provide great shots as well as a couple easy scenic creek crossings, and the Monte Cristo (sp?) ghost town trail at the base of it is pretty flat and has a river along it. You could get both in on the same day if you're up for a long hike.
