Favourite Brews

just started to actually really enjoy sours. I would HIGHLY recommend any of the barrel aged sours coming out of Russian River brewing, or anything from them really.

The best sour I've ever had though, and the one that broke the ice on the style for me, isn't available in bottles. If you are ever in Boulder, CO, make sure to stop by the Avery Brewing Co. Tap Room and try the Eremita. They just did their second batch of it, and it is truly amazing.

I don't really think that there is any beer that I would choose over all other beers, it just doesn't exist.

I'm also inclined to think that you won't agree with me on any of my choices either since you like Dead Guy Ale. Rogue is a great brewing company but I just don't like Dead Guy.

A big favorite of mine is Golden Monkey - Victory Brewing Co. - PA

Then I love local beers, and Magic Hat has some REALLY unique tastes, No. 9 being their signature, but the Wacko is really good too.

There's tons of great beers out there, it's like Pokemon, gotta try 'em all.

im going to go with the warren miller approach

the best beer is the one in your hand.. its cold and refreshing. and beer always tastes better when its somehow free.

anything from Ninkasi Brewing Co. I have no clue if they are nation wide yet, but out of Oregon and all of their beers are amazing. Might have to come to the PNW to get a taste

Holy shit... I live right by voodoo doughnuts and they have a really good bacon maple bar. I must try this

I had no idea Voodoo doughnuts was an actual shop?!?! I assume they are amazing (well maybe not so little) confectioneries that are packed full of sugary goodness.

Trout River Darkside Knight Slayer Imperial Stout.

Holy shit- alcohol like an Imperial Stout, smooth and smoky with a little bite like a porter. Hands down new favorite beer now, but Otter Creek Black IPA is still close behind.

Also, have you NSers ever heard of beeradvocate.com? You can pretty much look up any beer and see how people are liking it, describing it and comparing it to others. Looked up the Knight Slayer for reference.

Lagunitas IPA, Boont Amber Ale or ESB, Sierra Nevada Celebration or Anniversary Ale, Stone Anniversary, and Chimay. All super fantastic.

arrogant bastard from stone ipa, lagnitas ipa and dogfish head (either 60 or 120 minute) have all been mentioned.

but also odells (90 shilling) and new belgium (fat tire and snow day) from fort collins co both make some good beers. if ur in the area try out grim brothers brew in loveland co, they've got some good shit.

Well first of all magic hat is overrated. second, to say that a flavored apricot beer is vermonts best is crazy talk. any of the following Vermont breweries consistently brew stuff that makes magic hats beer look like piss.

Hill Farmstead

Lawsons Finest Liquids

McNeills

Alchemist
