Favourite Beer.

lol. that is like the budwieser of microbrews, especially the pale ale. I live in chico, where the brewery is, and their best beers are their seasonal ones that are only on tap at the brewery. The Schwartz and the dunkleweizen are my favorite so far. Other than that, I'm pretty sick of sierra nevada, that shit is like water here.

Typing out this name is getting old, it's long and complicated.

LEINENKUGEL'S SUNSET WHEAT.

Try it. Love it. Live it. Die of alcohol poisoning.. it. It.

Alexander Keith's India Pale Ale

Shit is so dope. Here in the US there's one beer distributor like 40 minutes from my house that sells it. And they only get a shipment every so often. I bring back a few cases every time i drive to Canada.

Yeah, wheat beers are good. and playing beer pong with Leinenkugel is a good wat to get ready for a fun night but I have to say one of my all time favorites is

yuengling

mm, that is a delicious brew

Rogue Hazelnut Brown, Rogue Chocolate Stout, Granville Island Scottish Ale (way better than their large production stuff).

Lol. hey, its still a fantastic pale ale, no matter how you look at it.

and I was merely saying that because its the most popular of the bunch. Their stout is awesome, and they certainly make great summer lagers. Its a great brewery period.

and yeah.. its also a little different if you live in chico... you guys practically take showers in the stuff.

Used to be a sucker for Yuengling but I donno... recently I haven't been as big a fan. They have two breweries, one in FL and one in PA and I think where you get it from makes all the difference but there's no way to tell. Even when I get the good Yuengling though, I still prefer that Sunset Wheat, especially with an orange. It doesn't make any sense how good it is. Alex Keith's is new to me though, need to try it.

i like most of the deschutes stuff.
mirror pond, alaskan amber, black butte porter, molson, moose drool. oktoberfest

^those are my favorites.
(i know theyre not all deschutes, i was just commending said brewery on many fine products)

I dont get the hype with Chocolate stouts. I want beer.. not alcoholic chocolate. lol.

Then again.. i bet they would rule on halloween or something with a lot of candy in the vicinity.

This is my wheat beer. It is very delicious. this was about 3/4 of the entire batch.

Yes, I did, alll by myself. I'm probably going to start another batch in a week or so. It just takes a day to cook it all up, then a few hours 1.5 weeks later to bottle the bad boys. Then about 2 weeks until they are good to go.

Some friends of mine have an old pale ale (Sierra Nevada) recipe, and I'm going to try to get my hands on it.

And yes, sometimes, chico does rule. Most of the time its pretty lame though.

Taste the rogue one. If you like dark complex beer, you'll like it. It isn't sweet or anything...Hard to explain it, but if you're into that sort of thing, it's great.

Levity Amber Ale by Odell. definately one of the best tasting beers. I'm a really big fan of the "Dam Straight Lager" for the Dillion Dam Brewery in Summit County.

Word that stuff is so good. And its like 15 bucks for 8.

I drink budweiser too. Never miller genuine, i hate that stuff.

Haven't tried Miller Genuine... usually if I'm gonna go full-flavored I just get a microbrew. I absolutely despise Miller High Life though so I imagine I'd hate it too. Miller Lite's gotta be my favorite party beer though.

For some reason I don't like wheat beers, as much when I put an orange in it. I've had both Leinenkugel with an orange and also blue Moon, and both at least to me seem to lose that flavor that I loved so much about them But then again I like a hoppier beer then average so what the house I'm living in next year brews is pretty good, but still not massively hoppy. IDK, my tastes change very often, sometimes I rather have a Schlitz or black lable more than any other beer in the world and then there are sometimes, I can barely stand to drink natty

The factory is about 30 mins from my house, and yes, thats a claim.

But I actually dont like keiths all that much, its ok i suppose. I'm going to have to go with two lists, quality:

Toubourg
Grashopper
Big Rock Trad. Ale
Harp
Steamwhistle
So many more I cant remember...

Cheap:

Bow Valley!!!
Pilsner
Kokanee

To each his own. I for one can't stand hoppy beers. The Magic Hat variety pack comes with one, I forget the name but it's the red label... normally love MH but I couldn't even finish the bottle.

Oh, and I forgot to give honorable mentions to Lions Head, also from PA. Absolutely delicious.

patigonia,

only ever had it once, and really loved it, but havent been able to find it since.

i also like the price of lakeport....so thats usually what i end up drinking.

true true, and that reminded me that I also like Red Stripe...YAY BEER.

but really I like most beer, and the best beer, is free beer, and if it's cold, it's even better:)

My pops makes a mean homebrew, but for the local shit its all about the Boundary Bay and the Beer Garden (up in Glacier).

As for the commercial shit, I enjoy Guinness.

all you blue moon people are aware its made by COORS right?

and 90 shilling is my favorite beer...for those of you who know what it is

in order: magic hat, sierra nevada, blue moon. I don't care if sierra nevada is the bud of microbrews, I've had many many different beers and I know what I like. I drink more expensive beer than any college kid I know, not to claim but I have 60 bucks a week to blow on whatever I want, and it tends to be beer.

haha i was just drinking a beer and wondering if there was one of these threads!!!!

i enjoy heiniken.

Guiness isnt all that great unless you get it from the tap.. which is extremely rare to find being this far from ireland.

red stripe on the other hand.. is pretty poor.. they just have sweet commercials, like all other beer companies.

BTW.. i'm surprised nobody has brought up anything australian... carlton draught is a pretty good one... (question in parliament!)

i've only had paulaner oktoberfest and doppelbock.

liked the oktoberfest but i did not enjoy the doppelbock at all.

Franziskaner Weissbier is a pretty damn good beer too.
