'In rode the Lord of the Nazgul. A great black shape against the fires beyond, he loomed up, grown to a vast menace of despair. In rode the Lord of the Nazgul, under the archway that no enemy ever yet had passed, and all fled before his face.

All save one. There, waiting silent and still in the space before the gate, sat Gandalf upon Shadowfax : Shadowfax, who alone among the free horses of the earth endured the terror, unmoving, steadfast as a graven image in Rath Dinen.'

'Dude, we're sick. He's pretty sick, but his muscles aren't as big as mine, so you know.'-CR Johnson

------------------------------------------------------------

''Independence is for the very few; it is a privilege of the strong. And whoever attempts it even with the best right but without inner constraint proves that he is probably not only strong, but also daring to the point of recklessness. He enters into a labyrinth, he multiplies a thousandfold the dangers which life brings with it in any case, not the least of which is that no one can see how and where he loses his way, becomes lonely, and is torn piecemeal by some minotaur of conscience. Supposing one like that comes to grief, this happens so far from the comprehension of men that they neither feel it nor sympathize. And he cannot go back any longer. Nor can he go back to the pity of men.'' -my buddy, Fred

''The possibility of physical and mental breakdown is now very real. No sympathy for the Devil, keep that in mind. Buy the ticket, take the ride.'' -Raoul Duke, and his good friend, Mr.Jim Bean

I don't understand why people like money so much. I personally feel like it ruins the mood of darkside of the moon. If there was one song I would eliminate from darkside, that would be it.

- Marc

You have to listen to Darkside the whole way through, its a single entity not a regular album, you can't skip around through the tracks

Politicaly Active Since 1992

'Soberity is not an option.'

Drivin that Train

What do you think I just said?

As a whole, I believe that that darkside would be better off without Money.

- Marc

I know, but money is part of the whole, you can't just take it out without compromising the rest of darkside, while you may not like it, it remains essential to the whole experence

Politicaly Active Since 1992

'Soberity is not an option.'

okay

1) Creedence Clearwater- Down on the Corner

2) Jefferson Airplane- Volunteers of America

3) Grateful Dead- Ripple

4) Allman Brothers Band- Ramblin' Man

5) Dr. Hook- Cover of the Rolling Stone

jeez dude i could go on and on...

the Music Never Stopped...

1) Led Zeppelin: Over the hills and far away

2) Pink Floyd: Brain Damage/eclipse (basically one song, you can't have one without the other)

3)Jimi Hendrix: Bold as love

4)The Who: Baba O'Riley

5) ... A tie between a million other songs. Ramble on, Time, comfortably numb, bring it on home, won't get fooled again, and many, many more, can't choose one.

2. Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd

3. Layla - Derek & The Dominoes

4. No Quarter - Led Zep

5. Eagles - Hotel California

6. A Day In The Life - Beatles

7. Kansas - Carry On My Wayward Son

8. Animals - House of the Rising Sun

9. CSNY - Woodstock

10. Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody

That's what I immediately think of. Although these lists are different every time I make them. Also, my all-time favourite song, Telegraph Road by the Dire Straits, doesn't ever make it on the list. It's way too good to compare to 'top 10 list' songs, which are usually expected, mainstream classics. Secondly, I'd put Stairway on instead of No Quarter, but it would be too obvious. No Quarter... isn't.
