Here's an interesting question for you snowboarders out there... what is the best website in snowboarding? Is there something that is a tight-knit community like NS or the TGR forums?

in the ns snowboarders cult, there was a thread on a site called i think eastcoastsnowboarding.com

not sure though, i dont know of any, a good vid. site is twsnow.com

it's really sad, but the most ns-like snowboard forum is this snowboard cult one!

every other snowboard forum i've ever been to is 100 times more whiny and bitchy than newschoolers, which is why i keep my mouth shut when people complain that there is too much hate on this site.

for video, my favorite website is by far http://www.crapneto.com

There are no good ones. All of them usually have some "guru" guy who supposidly knows everything and talks down to beginners. And like even if you had a good experience on a product, if he doesn't like it, then he'll insult you saying you don't know anything about snowboarding. I've seen it happen a couple times... Very sad... And whats worse, he'll have other people chip in to insult you and make you feel more of an inferior being. I dont really post on those sites anways... Although i do read stuff at Sierrasnowboard.com from time to time.

All the ones I see are like the worst of non ski gabber combined into one terrible mess, its all a bunch of gapers who snowboard to be cool. This site is really the best for both skiing and snowboarding forum wise. I like Transworld for videos and sierrasnowboarding has good reviews though

snowboard.com used to be good but then they tried to make it more like myspace which made it suck

snowboard.com was great for me when I was getting back into snowboarding this year. Got great gear and trick tip info. I never really ventured into the ''Off Topic'' discussion boards though so I'm not sure how that scene goes. All in all though I was super stoked on the quick, helpful and numerous replies I got when shopping for a board and learning basic tricks.

Best I've ever experienced was the AOL snowboard chat room. It was pretty dope back then, I'm sure a bit like NS was. I still keep in contact with one dude from there. I've tried the Burton message boards, but everyone on there is old and stuck up. Very elitist, very ghey. The transworld message boards are alright, but not many people frequent them. And as for snowboard.com? Make me barf, myspace style. None of these sites are as well constructed as NS is.

I'm glad I found NS. Even if it's only for skiers, snowboarders have found their way to enjoy this site too :)

well most people go to twsnow, but thats mostly just for vidoes and such. park updates- NS takes it. every snowboard website forum just blows.

snowboard.com would be the only one that might come close, wouldn't it? the stickers are at every mountain and it has a large member base.

obviously newschoolers is much better in many ways.

there are other randoms like snowboarding how-to forums and snowboard addicts.com (admittedly I am on the latter site.. hahahah.)

the transworld snowboard site is really good for videos and industry news. it used to be really good place for forums but they got rid of the comment sections on the videos. i think cuz of all of the hate. but usually you could find insider tidbits among all the bullshit. now they just have it on the photos. lame. they need to bring that back. and snowboardermag is decent
