Who was your favorite skier throughout the 15/16 season? Mine definitely has to be ABM. Such a great style, awesome afterbang and killer dub sevens

Park: Jake Carney (Hype train but its true)

Pow: A little bit hard to tell since no movies have been released and pow usually comes in movies but probably its a group for me; either the Coterie crew in the Japan segment or the "Seeking Nirvana" crew.

Urban: Same as above with the movie part but from the 2015 movies I would have to say the "For Lack of Better" crew

I loved the Coterie film all the boys killed it

same as every year, candide thovex

but for real tho, colby stevenson went fucking ham this year, bad meets evil also did some cool shit

Cam and Clayton used their grapefruit sized cojones to their fullest potential and went bigger than anyone's ever gone in the street. Just doing stupid big things on stupid big rails. Same goes for the rest of the real street guys.

I don't care much for park or urban so I am all about big mountain and backcountry. Since I won't see the movies until this fall I will say Loic Comb-Patton and Logan Pehota, the top two guys on the freeride world tour. The freeride world tour is the greatest competition circuit in my opinion, so I am impressed with anybody who can throw down in that context. I will probably change my mind this fall, when the movies come out. Marcus Eder only entered three contests but I suspect he will throw down hard in the films this fall. Sage is always a threat, but until I see his footage I won't know.

There's a website for guys like you.

http://www.tetongravity.com

I post more over there than I do here. It is definitely up my alley. They don't talk about pros much over there, it is more about their own skiing.

I don't see this website as only about park skiing. The original newschoolers were in the mid 90's guys like Morrison, McConkey and Davenport. They followed in the footsteps of Schmidt, Plake and Hattrup and made it possible for skiers to earn a living without racing. Every pro park/pipe skier (not to mention the big mountain guys) owes them, as well as the new Canadian air force of course, a huge thank you. Freeskiing was originally big mountain skiing on super g, then mid fat, than full fat skis. Look at the old issues of Freeze, like the late 90's and that is what you will find. Lots of people now see freeskiing as only pipe and park. Those people are wrong, freeskiing includes big mountain too.

I was just catching a little big mountain elitist vibe off the other post. Newschoolers is a place for both park and mountain to get some light. TGR is a different story entirely. Neither should really be put over the other on this site. Shred on.

Couldn't tell you if your talking about competitive shit or the red names on here they're all the same to me other than the gay guy at this point not really following.

My favorite skiier was this German kid who always got one of the first few chairs on Blackcomb Gondi and must have gotten there at 5am. Dude had mad euro swag going but thats not what made him my favorite one pow day I saw him ski under the lift blasting Duran Duran seriously loud as fuck from his backpack so the entire lift could hear. He takes the cake.
