I want your guys' opinion on some of your favorite music albums. It honestly can be anything but mainstream. I'm just looking into some good music, and want some suggestions.

well i don't know what you're definition of mainstream is, but personally, i'm a huge fan of kid cudi. man on the moon 1 and 2 are sick, and his mixtapes are the shit. a kid named cudi, stoner charm, and man on the moon 3: prequel to the wizard, download all that shit and you're set.

You may have to deal, depending on your definition of mainstream

To some level, yes, but the Gorillaz aren't "Generic" pop. They display many different styles, and works with so many different musicians. Cudi on the other hand, happens to be mainstream Hip Hop, not generic pop.

So is MGMT and they made one of my favorite albums. Just because something becomes mainstream does not necessarily mean it is bad.

To clear up this whole mainstream confusion, by mainstream I mean generic pop. By generic pop I mean Katy Perry, Lil Wayne, Taio Cruz, any of the disney singers, etc. Not bands/groups like MGMT and Gorillaz.
