Now that my skiing season is over i've been thinking about all the great moments I had skiing this season. What where your favorite moments of skiing this year?
Well mine is not over, I've got still one week in Austria ahead, but anyway this year I build a really nice setup in my school's backyard. We build mostly obstacles made of wood.
I know, pict sucks, but I didn't have any better one. It was right after a snowfall in January. That's way it doesn't look perfect. So you get speed(you also can't see a top of it, but the roof is pretty steep) from the roof of that building(it's garage btw,). Than there was a small jump(you could also tap the trash). From another side of garage there was another jump solid speed rail, and also at the front there was another trash, perfect for taps plants handdrags...Also school provide some really good lights and we've 3 awesome nightsession there.
casing number 3 at keystone lol. by far the dumbest thing ive ever done. such a bad day to even hit the line but i was stoked on myself even though it hurt like a bitch. proud to be walking for sure!
i was just happy i hit it and lived. biggest jump i have ever hit. sooo much fun even though i definitely couldve been paralyzed.
Two moments stand out. The first time I came around to corner to see the first real jump line of my life at killington, and knowing that I would be skiing it for the rest of the year.
The second was that I landed my first 7. Super good season.
^you a lucky dude to witness such a great night of skiing, but mine was probably riding on a really foggy/warm day a couple weeks ago, where ya couldnt even see the jump line as you approached it, we didnt get shit for snow so there wasnt any "epic" pow days or anything, so riding through the fog with some friends just shreddin round' was great fun. Im devastated that its over
Tomorrow, when I finally land my 5 and my 270 out, and hopefully my switch-up.
And this coming Thursday-Sunday, when I stomp the shit out of my flat 5 or misty 5, depending what I'm feeling at the time.
Shredding 2 feet of powder in the Jay Peak glades, I was dropping powder covered rocks. I was dreaming of that moment ever since I bought my pow skis. After 5 weeks of waiting, it happened.
Going to park city for a day after seeing all those videos of it on newschoolers and dreaming to go there. It gave me a feeling of such awe and happiness that I cannot even describe. It was probably the greatest experience of my life, and I wish I lived out there.
Going to CO for 8 days and skiin the sweeett pow ( i line in NY and the snow obviously isnt the best..) Best runs I've had, because of that trip I now barely go on the park anymore and appreciate the mountain so much more! def going back next yr
preseason hiking rails. -20 degree bluebird days in the Minnesota. 70 degree slush spring day. rainy days. skiing with friends. wearing tight pants. and having FUN.
Man it's been a good season, the standout moment would probably be one of the first nightskis of the season, when I dropped into a line and immediately disappeared into face deep snow, 4 or 5 turns later I had to stop to breath, deepest snow I have ever skied, and this season that is saying something.
had a lot considering this was first year of serious skiing. my first frontflip was sick...but skiing a couple feet deep pow was for sure the experience of a lifetime here in PA
bluebird day with 20cm fresh at whistler, we were hitting this cornice of harmony and i hadnt been fallin all day so i wanted to throw dwn a little bit, tried to pop a 3 of it. yard sale. hands doown one of my favourite moments of the year. this and hitting a blackpark jump finally
