Ok, all these "Best Guitarist" threads have really gone no where. From the past threads it seems that most of you think that people like Hendrix, Clapton, Van Halen, SRV, Page, Lifeson, Satriani ect ect belong on the top. But seriously, how many people are constantly listening to some of these guys on their ipods of what have you. I mean, you can respect their skill of some of these guys, but some of them I can't listen to for long.

So, personally, who is your favorite guitarist, no mind their rank on the best guitarist threads.

old delta blues guitarists are better (in my OPINION) than almost anyone today. Sam King, Robert Johnson, those guys are amazing.

But for modern guitarists, I like Frank Zappa, Eric Johnson (in technical skill), Robert Cray, and my personal favorite, Mark Knopfler.

ill be super rich and own mt.hood and let everybody from ns ski for free... except freezed

All the guys in Dream Theater are so good. I can not fucking stand their recent albums though...but to each his own.
