the malamute

wow that malamute is fucking beautiful.... i've never heard of that before? it looks just like a husky.... is that just another name for one or are they comepletely different breeds?

a malamute is an Alaskan dog that is probably like twice the size of a husky. its about as close to owning an actual wolf that one could own. they are usually at the back of the sled dog team right next to the sled....

I love yellow labs.
My family had one since i was about seven. We got her from animal control(basically the humane society), but everyone who met her said she was the best dog they'd ever seen. My mom had gone in ten minutes after the dog had got there and asked for her. The day after we picked her up, and there had already been 3 other offers for her. She lived to be about seventeen (vets guess), then she died over christmas break while we were out of town.
Sorry for the long post, but we made today, april 13th her birthday cause animal control had no idea and its mine too. this is the first time I've had a b-day with out her for ten years, and she used to sleep in my room every night so im pretty sad right now

border collies as all around favorite but i would never want to own one, they're too hyperin terms of a house pet definitely black labs

ya my english lab named yogi was my first dog.... and he passed of old age and complications about a year ago.... not gonna lie i cried.... i was devastated....

the one cool thing tho was they were gonna put him down cuz he wasnt eating and was blind and my mom told me to come say my goodbyes cuz i was leaving for the day (mom dukes tried to feed him steak dinners the whole shabang and he wouldnt eat) so i laid down next to him and it was heartbreakin.... but i had a cracker and just put it infront of his mouth and he ate it.... my mom hurried and hung up the phone and called the vet to cancel it and he ended up living an extra year.... he was blind but healthy so it was alll gooood. luckily i didnt live with my parents when he was put down.... i dont think i could handle see'in my dad take him out to the car....

this guy is almost a carbon copy of my family's current dog...

today the little bastard ate a small splash ball (swallowed it) so after consulting the vet... ended up inducing vomiting to get it out......... not the smartest dog by any means... and he displays many cat like tendency's, he will NOT bark, he loves to set on the backrest of couches. i have heard him make a purr type noise more than once. he also lays on his back in the sun... its hilarious to see. haha

overall a great dog, wont be a hunting dog or anything, but a fun little guy to have around.

not mine, but same breed and similar appearance:

Mine is my best friend. Hes always there for me, and i'd often spend time with him than my human friends. Hes 11 now, and getting to be very weak. I have to help him up the stairs when he needs to go to bed. Im going to miss him a lot.

resue dogsi have rescued both of my dogs and they are so greateven though i have no idea what type they are

treat this nigga like a king yo.... think of all the good years he's given you.... when yogi was on his way out i spent every minute with him when i was home.... he deserves it!

oh yeah, i spend as much time with him as i can. i feed him everyday and he knows that when im home its time to eat. i think he has a few more years, i just hope im not away at college when he passes.

im not gonna lie i really dont like german sheppards. my neighbors dog is one and like mauls the fence and barks all day long and i hate it. its a fucking violent beast. and my friends is probably the least violent german sheppard ever and it attacked me. i just dont see why anyone needs or wants a dog like that

i will domesticate a male Timber Wolf and a female Timber Wolf, then I will breed Timber Wolves so you all can have one too.

my dogs really they are perfect fuck!

the first is a pure bread german sheperd

and the second is a black lab mixed with rottweiler

both are the nicest dogs ever but will still fucking kill someone

when i lived in vegas my next door neighbor had a retired police dog (german sheppard) and he was the nicest dog ever..... but when yogi was around it was a different story.... i have a feeling if they were ever in the same yard DAX would kill yogi.... but it just goes back to how they are brought up...

i know some pitbulls that are as goofey as a retriever and i know some Labs that are nasty as fuck... so i know breed does influence behavior but i think you can curve the natural habbits with a proper and loving upbringing.

yup, my shephed is very nice to all people (scared of most) and is scared of most dogs. if anyone tried to attack me or even threatened to harm me though, my dog would rip them to shreds

id have to say yellow lab.

my yellow lab hunts with me and gets all my yummy birds that i shoot. i swear to god she is my only true friend in this world.

damnit its going to be hard seeing her go. shes only 5 though, i gots a while.

i have a basset hound right now and he's really cool but if i got another dog i would probably go with a Newfoundland

newfoundland_dog_smoky1.jpg

YES! I was waiting for this! Newfoundlands make incredible friends and they are amazing with children. They are also adept at swimming and can be trained to save people who are drowning.

we had to put our old one down in September, it was rough. Just be nice to him and make him as comfortable as possible.. ours had hip problems (im guessing thats what yours has?) and it was really sad, he liked swimming though, I think it made him not hurt as much.

But on a happier note... German Shepards are the best dogs ever IMO. I have a long haired one right now and he's the cutest, goofiest dog ever. I love him.

ive got a yellow lab now. My grandparents friends found him when he was about 1. They couldnt keep him so they gave him to us. Hes the best dog Ive ever had. Stays right with you, does everything you tell him to. He knows when its time to play or settle down. Hes just a good dog.

most amazing dogs.i plan to own a few someday.
